Heloo! I am new to the AFN.I have 4 autos in a 80cmx80cm Homebox tent under a 400 HPS in cooltube. One of the plant didn.t start flowering untill I changed the light schedule tto 12/12. At first was 18/6. This Happened about 16 days ago. If i change back the schedule to 18/6 will it affect the plants negatively and stop the flowering period?

If it didn't flower at 18/6 till you switched to 12/12 then it is not an auto and should be treated as a photo, what do I mean by that is that if you have it flowering in 12/12 and switch to 18/ 6 it will stop flowering and go back to veg.

thanks mate....but couuld be the reason that did not flower until 12/12 because it was stressed in the first 2-3 weeks? it's very strange because all the seeds are from the same provider...

Well then now you have a situation, figuring out if it was the 12/12 that caused them to flower,or they were just late to flower. If they were late bloomers and are autos and was a coincidence that they flowered when you switched to 12/12. Then you can switch to 18 with no problem

Stress might have affected them slightly, but I suspect that the Auto trait may not have been fully stabilized in that strain. Even occasionally on supposedly stable strains, it happens to even the experts sometimes. So don't worry too much, but I'd maybe think twice about that strain in the future.

As for now, I think I would just leave them on 12 until done. The ones that did flower under 18 might produce a few less grams, but flowering the additional plant will make up for it. Another option is kill the one that needed 12, and then go back to 18 with the others. I'd keep em all at 12, finish, harvest, and do a different strain or breeder next time. :)

I have 4 plants...2 Ak and 2 bubblegum...all 4 are autos...3 of them flowered as it should be...without changing to 12/12...but 1 Ak just didn.t until i switched to 12/12....and grew a lot bigger than the others.Don't know if it is a coincidence or not...it's very strange...and i'm at my first auto grow...and i think i just don't trust the provider olso....victory seeds it is.

If i let 12/12 i hope it will not affect the other 3 plants too much...and i don't want lo loose the big late one either...it's a dilema!

Thanks for the advice...i don't want to loose the big late one so i will keep 12/12 till harvest....and i will definetly change the breeder next time!
