I'm curious why we closed this competition so fast? @Mossy the rules don't have a damn thing in them about when to close the competition. I think it's pretty damn cheesy to announce with just a few hours to get the final photos in and then leave a brilliant plant like AJ's out.

Maybe you've changed the rules so damn much you don't even remember what they are I'm going to post them up just so you can figure them out.

Rules of Engagement for Growbattles 2018 .

Growbattles will be Open to All Challengers.

Sponsored Growbattles..where the Vendor provides the product will require a 50 post count to be considered.

The Official [HASHTAG]#growbattles[/HASHTAG] will have 2 legs/entry levels

The first leg will start 1st February 2018

The second leg will start 1st May 2018

[HASHTAG]#bookspaceinyourgrowroom[/HASHTAG] NOW..........:headbang:

There will be a two week germ period prior to the official start date.

A Battle code will be released by @Ripper 2 weeks prior to the Battle start date to be included in your germ photo

No entries will be accepted after the Battle start date..

Final pictures will include the full pot and plant. On the pot will be a 3x5 card or piece of paper with the growers name finish date and a specialized password that will be given by Ripper just prior to the grower taking final pictures.

Growers may grow however many plants they want but must choose their competition plant at the 30 day mark of the competition.

So what we have here are some of your best Growers left out in the cold because you don't even have the end date in the damn rules.

It is very simple the second leg starts May 1st so the first leg needs to be finished before the second leg starts so those that do not make it in the first round have time for the second round

No s***! And we need to know when the f****** thing ends if we're going to be able to even start the damn things.

I don't think you understand nobody knew this was going to close, nobody knew how long the polls were going to be open, how is that a Fair competition?

It would make any Win by staff, suspect. I mean after all you guys seem to know when the competitions end!

Did you think it ran till your plant was done? Should we wait for jingo to be done so he doesn’t throw a fit? Like I said they have ALWAYS been 3 month competitions period end of story nothing has changed..

Are you saying we have until the end of April? Are you going to wipe out the votes that have already happened and let the rest of us who didn't get in on this get in on the 30th or 31st or whatever the end of this month is? You didn't really give us 90 days now did you?

If you've been reading this thread you found out 25% of the people here couldn't even get the damn things to germinate on time. Maybe the problem is having a competition and a test at the same time. Idk

You'll probably have to delete these posts because nobody is going to see it your way on this. Clean things up make them go away all nice and neat and tidy.

I am not cleaning anything up. Nor will I hide anything. Sorry you had germination issues. i could teach you a solid germ technique if you would like.

It's heavyweight seeds, it didn't matter if people got them straight from the breeder or they bought them online they had germination issues. I'm growing some seeds for short stuff and just like always every sead I drop turns into a monster plant. I don't have germination issues with other seeds, they just shipped bad gear. That's what I mean about competitions and testing going together.

I was honestly so happy to finally get the seeds that I wanted for a test, in the past I asked for indica and I get sativa and the staff kept all the indicas and what do you know they Place higher in the timed competitions. But this time I got a 67 day strain direct from the breeder and it took me 8 seeds over a couple weeks just to get one plant. I've never had that happen before. One time I bought a package of Barney Farms seeds that didn't germinate and a bunch of my friends on the Forum also had non germ Barney Farms so I don't buy from them anymore. That's exactly the way I'm going to be with heavyweight seeds.

I'm not even in on any sort of competitions or grow off's, so I really hate to send negative, but my last pack of HW Massive Midget went 0/5, one cracked and did nothing. Same method last year sprouted 2/5 HW High Density. They were both amazingly easy to grow, but poor germination. I spoke with the vendor I bought mine from and he said it must have been my germination methods or some other issue I caused with my rookie growing skills. Needless to say, I will not be buying from Southern Oregon Seeds again and probably not any HW as it's far too expensive to throw away that kind of money for bunk seeds.

It appears that enough people are having issues with germination that you teaching all of them "solid germination techniques" probably won't help much as most of us know 1-3 different ways to go about things, and they still are failing. Sorry to sound rude, but your reply actually sounded pretty rude in itself, the last sentence did anyway.

Ive heard bad reviews for both the vendor u used and the breeder for Prolly close to a year and a half now. I've never used either but almost bought from sosbank then my buddy in Oregon advised me not to on any items from them. But the heavy weights I have seen make it to finish look great.
