New Grower hear we go. round 2

Looks like the kids are stretching pretty bad got them under a 600 watt mh light right now about 20 some inches above the tops I have the light at 300 watt (50%) surface Temps from 76 to 84 seeing good vertical growth but only the first leaves pics tomorrow I'm on bed and in to much pain to get up right now I'll see if I get some new growth in the morning but not sure normally by day 3 or 4 I see more than one leaf (at least in my other strains maybe it's just this sour crack cross :/ humidity is about 40% watering a solo cup a day Plaine tap water

Sorry to hear youre in pain buddy. Although surface temps are good just watch out for light burn when your lights so close to seedlings. Edit. Just noticed your on 50% power im sure they'll be fine

Yeah I think they are just stretching to find their place is all the were 2 inches last night (I was texting NekoSempai and got up to measure) light was 17 inches above tops and the seedlings were 2 inches tall now this afternoon I just got up I'm seeing the start of the second true leaves they out on another .5 to .75 inch last night surface Temps this afternoon when I got up were 86. (Still haven't figured out my light timer) but they look fine no burn no nothing so I think they are gonna kick off here maybe I'm just over excited haha but that's why I'm documenting this so I can say to myself later on oh hey at 4 days they just started with the second set of leaves popping out lol as far as the hight it could also just be the strain too

As far as heat goes it's still kinda warm outside durring the day here in the great north so it's a juggling act right now once winter sets in more it's gonna be better for sure but for now it's 12/12 to 16/8 but from what I understand autos will grow in about anything

Thanks guys Temps are killing me right now at 90 in the tent that's the coolest I can keep it though sadly I should have some of my crap sold and I'll buy and led for damn sure although after next Monday that should be the end of the 80s for the year and night time Temps should be getting down in the 50s allowing me to stay in the low 80s in the tent and recommendations on helping my girls with the heat

So thinking about making a change to the system I'm thinking about doing 4 more 5 gal pots with coco and scratching the dwc set up

Just trying to decide if coco will be a worth while investment for the fact I'm not sure if I'm going to need to get new nutes or not it looks like the gh floranova line will work for coco though was gonna do 2 lemon haze and 2 blue amnesia in the coco.

Since I got a coup folks watching what would yall rather see? Try at the dwc or the coco??

Its totally up to you mate. Your the one that has all the work. Coco seems to produce better with smaller more frequent waterings of maybe 3 times a day. Also works great in a drip system and takes away a lot of the work. Waximus has a great thread on making a cheap diy drip system.
I love dwc threads, never tried it myself but seems like a pretty steep learning curve.
Good luck deciding

Try at the dwc or the coco??

I understand you didn't want to pour too much money into growing equipment, am I right? Just thinking of that, DWC grows tend to require a little more investment for all the gear and supplemental elements you might need to make it succesfull. But if you already have a decent pH and EC/PPM -meters, pH up and down and all that stuff i'd recommend basic bubbler setup to get started with the world of DWC. It is most simple and cheapests to handle. It is also quite simple to build yourself with right materials.

I currently have 2 5 gallon buckets with 6 inch net pots and 2 big air stones I have a cheap ass ppm and ph meter as well still need to get ph down as my tap water is at 7.4 ish (my ph meter bounces all over the place so I'm just guessing at all of it

But I'm thinking coco for the fact I like soil style growing but I can't water the kids 3 times a day I was homing to be able to water Monday with nutes Wednesday with ph water and Friday with nutes then give sat and sun to dry up a bit

I'm not a huge fan of having all kinda hoses and crap going all over but I'm also not sure soil is going to be my best bet this year as I have 4 5 gallon pots going and that took all my soil for the year that I had recomposted over the summer :(

If I figure right all I'd need to do coco outside of well coco and perlite is cal mag just trying to figure out of my watering feeding schedule would work or not maybe some vermiculite in the coco would help hold some water for the above mentioned watering and feeding schedule?

I will probably end up doing both honestly out of the 4 regular seeds I got going now I'm expecting 1 or 2 males so that'll free up that space and doing 4 coco pots and 2 dwc buckets I'll have so much herb it'll be insane if I get anything off all the plants

As noted I got the gh floranova grow bloom koolbloom and florakleen so adding cal mag won't be to bad
