Harvested in January, still burns throat

I got a 8th from a dispensary. It was Chem da le chem. It was harvested in January. Youd think it would be cured by now and not messing my throat up. They nitrogen seal there containers. Why would this strain still be giving me a sore throat and irritiation in my throat that many months later? Could it of been too wet when they cured it maybe causing it to trap chlorophyll in the buds or didnt off gas or too many nutes or what could the cause be?

5 out of 8 of the last 8ths i bought from Lume dispensary messed my throat up. I never had a problem with them and this issue until the past month and all of a sudden there weed went from quality to shit that screws my throat up and i dont even want to smoke it. Id rather smoke sugar leaf!!!!

I think your post highlights a huge reason why so many people arrive at the hobby - the dispo business model sucks. the black market also sucks. most places in the world we're either outright banned or regulated to death. GYO feels like the only way.

Yea i fucked up my last harvest. I purposely seeded it but i didnt expect more seeds than weed. Lol i been having to buy it til my harvest is ready. I just chopped 5 fast buds autos 3 days ago. I got one gelato auto pheno still going and two if those hsrvested. Then 3 purple punch. I got all green phenos but each is a different pheno on all 6 fast bud plants. Then i got one mors sour diesel autp by fast buds also. And then i got 5 caramel cream autos by humboldt seed company which are gnarly fat buds im chopping when these ladies are dry.. so ill be harvesting 7 more within the next two weeks. I got my dry tent environment dialed in now finally after years of fucking the dry and cure up and got grove bags now for the cure instead of jars. Got my moisture meter to check dryness before jarring in grove bags. This will be my first harvest sweating in paper bags before i cure. Hope i can nail this dry and cure. I have done lots of research on the matter. Now to put my knowledge to use to create the dank and not just some bud that i dint enjoy smoking. Lots of heart aches along the way. Over dry and lost terps or under dry and mold. I invested and researched my ass off. I hope i nail it this time. Im sick of growing dank and then turning it to shit. Im ready and believe in myself now. We'll see how she smokes in a month.

guy at my local shop swears by getting an actual wood moisture meter, with the little spikes. you poke the spikes into the bud and get an actual number reading.

But what causes this throat burn and literally gives me a sore throat for a few days after smoking it? I dont understand what causes that? Improper cure? Chlorophyll left in bud? Off gassing something weird? To many nutrients? I wanna know what causes that throat fuckery in bullshit weed?

Curing too wet or too dry? I dont know whats causing that messing my throat up. I dont even want to smoke the shit cuz it just makes it worse. Hate getting ripped off. Especially by a dispensary that grows big in MI. Lume Cannabis Company. Thwy were always on point before. Lately a lot of there strains have been having this crap effect on my throat and im sick of it and want to know how not to get it in my grows too. Seems fresh harvested weed does it to me when i grow it bwfore the cure is harsh and can mess my throat up. But this shit was harvested 1/18/22 and tested on 3/4. Why something been curing so long still fuggin my throat up?

When i smoke it. It feels like something funky coating my throat. Then my throat feels like shit for days. Best i can describe it as. Andi dont want to keep smpking it once i start cus it gets worse and worse. Could it be mildew or mold even? Fuck i dont know. It doesnt look like it but idk.

Mold is my first scary thought. I have not bought weed at a dispensary in 10 years because I don't trust them.
