Auto SFV OG - Auto Mac #1 and Auto Oh My Gusher

Week 4 Update, Day 28 MAC#1

As we close week 4, our plants are showing impressive progress, with day 28 above ground under their belts.

Among the two plants, the larger MAC is racing ahead, showcasing vigorous growth. Throughout the week, the Copper Thunder Rods have been diligently doing their job, constantly being repositioned to manage stretch and canopy development.

In addition to the rods we introduced further restraints to shape the larger of the MACs. Simple felt garden ties fastened to bull dog clips and looped over the stems are used to secure the branches.

Heres is the growth comparison from day 21 through to 28

To support our plants' microbial life and foster healthy growth, we've added 1ml of Bio-Bizz Fish Mix per 1.5 liters of water. This nutrient-rich solution was evenly distributed between the plants and top-fed, avoiding the use of the reservoir.

In the coming midweek, we are introducing a metal framework measuring just under 4x2ft, consisting of 3” squares. This mesh will be suspended above the canopy using ratchet hangers. I must say a big thank you to @420autoflower for showing how effective this can be and for sharing his knowledge.

The framework will serve as a support for both plants, which will undergo defoliation before their stems are carefully splayed under it, think low-profile pruning. The goal here is to encourage robust bottom growth, ensuring that every branch yields premium flowers. It’s worth noting that one of the better days for pruning over the coming fortnight in our Lunar gardening calendar is the 26th July. I’m pleased that I could coincide my defoliation with that date, which will save the plant some stress.

Happy Growing ;)

If you'd just told me about the Thunder Rods, I'd say you're full of it. But, your plants clearly show otherwise. Really looking nice and for only 28 days, yeah I'd say you've got a cosmic advantage working for you. That and I think your lunar management is quite interesting also.

So, if I want to trim a couple big fan leaves off one or two of my plants, I should do it on the 26th? Is there a time of day/night that is better? I'm willing to try it.

It depends on your location, the 26th July is a viable day in the UK but not necessarily every where else. Have a look at this guide and just change your location/time zone at the bottom of the left hand corner, it will give you all the dates for sowing, harvesting etc

If that doesn't work for you try these cats :toke:

One faster pheno and one slower pheno it seems, both looking spot on mate!

Keep it up
I'm just praying my frame work turns up this week and is not delayed. I need to get these girls flattened out and under proper control, whilst stretch is still evident. :jointman:

Plants look great Dean!
Happy and healthy.
Nice that you’re doing more pre training on your Mac before you flatten her out.
Also doing a really good job with the rods bro. I know it’s kind of a hassle always having to reposition them but it sure helps build more of a flatter canopy and definitely increases yields. Although, I’m sure you would get close to the same results from topping if that’s what you prefer.
Hope you get your metal grid soon… time is of the essence at this point.

I know, time isn't on my side, the smaller girl exploded in growth today as well. The larger Mac will slide right under but will end up getting super cropped and the extremities getting folded back in. I can't believe how big she is. This lady needs a 4x4 all to herself and she hasn't finished yet:jointman:

Your Mac did take off and I can see she’s turning into a big girl. If your timing isn’t right you could always consider just growing them out naturally and flatten out your next 2.

I've got till Thursday I reckon, the larger MAC is still at this time pliable. It will turn up otherwise I'll temporarily use my existing net for 48hours just to get them flattened.
