Hey guys, growing newb here. Ive seen on several forums the different strains used but i think that northwest Ireland is slighty different to mainland England. Now the strain i have looked at is the AutoDurban poison from Dutch Passion im also looking for another auto strain that is hardy and mold resistant. Also if you could leave a link to the site would prefer it to be from dp though. My final thing is im doing the guerrilla site and ive got pots in the ground to stop the plants blowing over when they finally are up there but what im wondering is how to stop it flooding theres alot of rain in nw ireland and im not quite sure how to stop it all basically flushing my plants every time it rains. So if anyone from dp could suggest a very strong water hardy auto flowering strain much appreciated happy growing fellas

Hello G I

You shoule make your way to the Introduction section for new members and introduce yourself. We can all get to know you better, and you can p ost a link to your thread/grow here.

INTRODUCTIONS

There are many Dutch Passion People here on this site. I am sure they can direct you to the information you need. Autoflower's were made for growing in places just like yours, and then peeps made them good in other places as well. Hope you find what you are looking for.

:Sharing One:

Peace

Gonna see about moving you over to DP./...

Welcome bro...good luck with the grow..."AFN smoke out"

Howaya, what's the story horse? ;)

Autoflowering outdoors in Ireland, awesome idea. Coming up to Spring and Summer now is the time to do it. My advice, when we would do outdoor grows (back in another un-named country I used to live in hehe) we would always grow in four separate plots. One plot for the bugs, one plot for the rippers, one plot for the pigs and one remaining plot which hopefully survived all those typical outdoor pot plant killers is left for you. ;-)

Let us know how it goes will ya? Couple of photos and a report on the success would be awesome. I've always wondered about how successful outdoors growing would be in our green, wet and not so sunny country would be like.

Ask Cres for some info on the HighRise strains, they might be good for your area.

good luck Ireland. All of our auto's are grown outdoors, and if you look on our website and click on the varieties you will see plenty of grow diaries by customers. To read these you need to click the 'more info' tab in the centre of each page.

Plenty of people do auto's in greenhouses as well.

Many outdoor growers tend to start the auto's indoors for the first 2-3 weeks. Then they plant the auto's outdoors usually around mid-May and hope for some sunny weather for the following 2 months. The main issue for you could be cold weather, a spell of cold weather can easily slow down an outdoor auto by a few weeks. Another non-auto option for you would be Frisian Dew, that would finish around the start of October. If you read the Dutch Passion blog on Friday you will see an epic Frisian Dew grow. Good luck

North west Wales is gonna be similar to you G.Ireland, is it like craggy island? Autos grow just fine but yields are random, ive had yields between 5 and 35 grams, im doing durban this year too do will be following your grow with great interest.
can you put the pots on slopes/ side of hills ? have you checked out the swamp tubes?

Basically i was looking into getting autos because i wouldn't know if the hours of sunlight outside would be enough for a normal strain grow. I would like a large yeildi ng strain then again who wouldn't ;) but if you guys could tell of some of your tried and proved strains that can stand cold weather thatd be great. Id have used autos but yeild is a must ive saw that hollands hope is being grown in england and it grows well wheras on other forums people have said its not too good in the uk? Basically i need info on high yeilding cold resistant strains cheers guys :D

I grew h hope 2 years ago in wales got some big plants and some bud of some description, nice taste but needed another3 weeks of sunshine which around these parts in sept oct is hard to find. Go to my profile page and click on threads started, theres 3 years of outdoor auto grows in a similar environment to yours. Photo grows too.
