Outdoor Growtogrow.. Michigan Unlimited multi strain organic grow

Close up 9 pound Swiss red n blue
Interesting. I know my main light has pretty good red and far red footprint. Is your lighting bought or do-it-yourself?

Yup I built my own light's.
This particular light array will accommodate 6 lights and they could be the CMH 315 or they could be HPS or metal halide all the sockets are for those. I like to build lights. I build a lot of different crap.
I have far red LEDs to add to my lights. I use them last spring outside when I first built this light.

The more Red Spectrum tells the plant or plants really doesn't matter what kind of plant it is cannabis or whatever the Red Spectrum tells the plant that it's being shaded and that it needs to get to the light so it'll throw more leaves so it'll grow longer stems it'll create more Bud sites it tells the plant that it needs to survive and so it throws out more of everything so they can collect more light. That makes sense to you guys?

I study a professor that is funded by NASA now for about 30 something years like 37 years something like that he's the guy that is creating aeroponic sustainable food system for the Mars Lander. Dr Bruce Bugbee of Utah State University and he's the CEO of a Apogee Industries.
The doctor's been doing plant biology for like 44 years or something like that long-ass time anyways. And he's got some videos on YouTube. Y'all should check them out. you can find them under Apogee Instruments Inc. The doctor is doing 1000's of tests with cannabis (how to grow it and light is one of his Passions ) Since Utah State University is one of the few of universities that has Federal funding to test cannabis how to grow it what it's good for many things. But he's got some extensive tests.
But unfortunately since this covid-19 jumped off he hasn't posted any videos so the newest ones like nine months old.

But everything he's doing is extremely relevant to this industry and that everybody who grows inside and outside cannabis should and actually pay attention to what this man's doing and his team of grads undergrads and fellow professors around the world.

The blue showed less chlorosis in the veins compared to the red. I'm guess the extra red reduced flower time but the red also looks to have denser trichs. Can't tell from the pics but the internodal distance looks slightly shorter.

I forgot what you said the spectrums were but that is a great example of the effects of light spectrum on photobiology. Curious to what would occur with added 660/730s on the blue heavy spectrum on relation to trichomes, terpenes, and biomass.

Always love seeing stuff like this. Most lights can grow weed but the red heavy was much more desirable looking than the blue. I've seen some growers going down to 2700k for flower with very nice results.

What is the smell like? Difference in oils or resins based on touch?

@Waira A bit in agreement about Dinafem. The Original Amnesia/Super Silver didn't live up to the marketing hype for me :bong: . I bet GTG could do some impressive work Ace's stuff
Sad about Dinafem
Light on the right is 30k the left 40k.
Not a big diff...But... U can see the difference.

30k more red bud's

40k light more blue

Very familiar with Dr Bruce Bugbee. He does take the complicated and explains it VERY well.

Yes the doctor's awesome:headbang:
He really knows his s*** about growing plants. :hump:But I don't think he knows anything about what it taste:eyebrows: But he knows how to grow it good.
So because I'm an organic guy I don't really pay attention to how he feeds his plants other than certain aspects of what I can use in the organic industry. But what he does with light all of us can use. :pass:

I don't care what anyone says, organics are the way to go. I think it's the easiest way for the average person to grow quite good canna.
I am biased though. I have 30 yrs of organic farming under my belt.

Yes absolutely Organics is easiest.

S*** I'll be the first one to tell you.
I'm a lazy ass Farmer :hump::crying:for real. :coffee2:

No man yeah...

I use great big pots :growing:So I don't have to water very often :joy:
Big pots they hold lots of nutrients so I don't have to feed them very often:joy::mrgreen::baked:yeah how's that sound?

I hate these little pots that I'm using :nono:right now :backside:I have to pay so much damn attention to them. Water every 2 or 3 day's. Then transplanting AGAIN.. :finger:

But I love it :LOLStoned:

How are you biased thou ?

:pass:

I like the way you handle your OD grows enough to want to mimic them in the future. Need to move further out first though. Blasphemy but I'll keep my hydro indoors and my soil out lol.

7gal is the smallest I'll grow in, other than making seeds.

I'm biased in my own growing, but I will look at other ways of growing canna, if nothing but out of curiosity.

:bighug: thanks bro that's about the most sincere thing I've ever heard. I'm a little blushed. Thanks though I really appreciate that man.:pass:
Yeah I almost Twisted myself into doing Hydro inside after I built my new flower room. I was so scared of getting the mildew in my basement again:yoinks: It got in my floorboards and everything. I had to paint my entire basement with Zimmermans moldicide paint to kill it all.
But I just couldn't do hydro again. I tried. I bought all the pumps net pots pumping for a 12 tank undercurrent dwc set up. But :poof:back to organic. Lol:baked:

Yup I guess I'm too:hump::vibes:

 Enjoy the praise lol

I did soil my first time and tried it with other plants around the house but hydro, especially since RO, has been a joy. Can't say I'd go as far as DWC but really love flood and drain with my substrate. I flood once or twice a week and refill the reservoir twice a month. Nothing but lazy at this point lol

I was refilling the RO tank and forgot to shut it off. Maybe around 15 gallons all over my floor. :cuss: I'd take a greenhouse with lights at this point. Hope to take my organic game up a couple notches this summer though.

When I first got my lic to grow legal about 8 year's or so now. I started a 12 gallon DWC 2 tanks with 1000w MH and HPS. Every 5 to 7 day's water change and nutes. Very good yields.
I have a friend that's running the DWC undercurrent in 10 gallon tanks with a large air stone in each tank. Plus a air stone in the res tank too. It circulates for 10 minutes on and 15 minute off.
He uses general hydroponics and something else I forget what it is. He gets really good roots thou and nice yields. Most of his weed tastes good for bottles. Good looking ash.:pass:
