Lighting GROWNORTHERN The Manual.

Howdy folks, hope you're all keeping well.. Quick question regarding ph, I let my tap water sit for over 24 hours and the cheap ph strips I found at home tell me it's most likely between 6-7 (roughly). i have access to ph down (want to avoid using if possible) and will be using plant magic organic nutrients, do you think it's worth buying a more trustworthy ph meter and keeping tabs on the levels for every feed or should this be an okay ph to work with? Thanks for any help in advance :)

I will always suggest a good digital Ph meter for growing. Not that you can't grow without it, but still. :check:

First off thanks for the fast replies guys :) you're really only confirming what I already thought but its always safer to ask if you have the resources! Red, I may have to look into the plant magic soil for my next grow as I've already purchased plagron light for the first time around, it does sound nice not having to ph every feed though! Probably a noob question but what is the recommended ph level for lovely autos? As I said I have access to ph down so it shouldn't be a problem finding the balance, thanks again guys :)
P.S the digital ph meter is the last thing I need before starting my journal so keep your eyes peeled over the next week, I'll do the best job I can as a virgin grower, take care!

My water is 6.6 after I've added my nutrients so I don't touch PH up or down but I only know this because I have a good PH pen. You won't go wrong with a Blulab or Hanna PH pen.

Thanks for the recommendations tang, what do you do for the first few water feeds and flushing? I thought that should be just plain ph'd water? Again I'm probably wrong! I've just sent plant magic an email out of curiosity so we'll see what they say about combining the soil and nutes to eliminate the ph process - sounds perfect for me if its viable :p will most likely get the ph meter ordered today, just to be on the safe side!

Just plain tap water for the first 2 weeks and last 2 weeks no PH adjusting,I used to but it's needless as Plagron is awsome lol

Haha fair play to you man, I ordered the plagron light mix already due to all the positive feedback people have given it, but went with the plant magic nutes so may have to make the switch after this first grow. Do you know what your ph is for those water feeds? I'm pretty sure as long as its under ph 7 it would be fine but I just like to get all the info I can :) take care

7.2 out of the tap bro.

And the girls are all good with that I assume? Filling me with confidence bro, mines definitely 7 or less from the tap :)

Pal23 if your feeding pm ot bloom feed all the way to the end just slowly reduce the feed
i can`t see the point in starving a plant while the buds are still fattening up
atb nudd

Thanks for the comments nudd, are you saying not to flush if using just the oldtimer nutes? I was under the impression all plants should be flushed? But yes as before I will be using the oldtimer grow and bloom from start to finish
