"Placing a full hour of light in the very center of a 12 hour dark period tricks the plant and interrupts the buildup of sensitive floral hormones which would normally trigger flowering by destroying them. Using this method vegetative cycles may be shortened by a week or more and flowering may also be shortened." This is an excerpt from the article that explains the process.
Here is a link to that article.

This group was started from seed on Jan 2 and i moved them to flower a week ago! As i usually do, there may be more than one variable at a time going on in my grow. In this case i have a different light schedule AND am trying Agricola Soil Minerals for the first time and not being the sharpest tool in the shed im not sure where to put the credit? Pretty sure my good looks aren't a factor
This group is turning out to be the nicest, most uniform, most vigorous and healthy looking plants ive ever grown so im happy about that. A lot of grows look fine thru veg, ill be interested to see how they do thru flowering.
Momma and I are medical people, shes sick i just like to feel better! Were not smokers so everything i produce is consumed as tea or RSO taken sublingualy. I press some rosin which is also taken sublingual.
Theres plenty of information, both supportive and negative on line regarding this light schedule. See for yourself! And if you give it a try let me know.
