Hello AFN friends. I would like to grow daisies and lavender alongside my autos. Is this possible? I'm guessing yes, but there is nothing online about growing daisies/lavender in a grow tent/indoors. The internet says to start them inside and take them outside. The thing is, my climate really isn't suitable for either of those to grow well (growing them for my girlfriend so I want them to look really nice) So is it possible to grow these in a tent? Has anyone grown either of those before with their autos? The other thing I was thinking about is what pests are associated with lavender and daisies? I'm willing to deal with whatever pests come along with them but just want to be aware so I can face them head on.

I have a lime tree in one of my tents with autos. I have Carolina reapers and ghost peppers in another. There won’t be any issues. I think lavender deters most pests but not 100% sure. I wouldn’t run the light any longer than 20. Not sure what your light schedule looks like just a suggestion.

Thank you for the reply! I always run 18/6 with my autos. I didn't know if even 18 hours would be too much light for them. My autos are kept according to DLI at different stages, and I believe cannabis is a bit more light intensive than either of the plants I listed.

I was the opposite...my first autos were among a bunch of flowers in a winter flower room....there was one flower in there that definitely stinks.

I have cilantro, and Moruga Scorpion growing.

Many herbs are excellent companion plants, because they repel pests (mint, lavender, scallion, etc)
Thank you, great input. I actually just did a little research and yes apparently Lavender is really good for repelling insects. According to a gardening website the only bugs that really go around lavender are bees. I guess that's an added bonus :smoking:. I thought it may very well increase pest activity.

WOW. So you actually grew flowers indoors? Would you be able to give me any advice about temperatures or humidity or anything like that? I also am unsure(I'm a noob so sorry if this is a stupid question) if I would need to switch the light schedule to get the flowers to bloom?

Oh yes, the winter flower room was specifically to keep nicer plants alive during winter days...was an older mobile home converted just for that purpose. There was no environment controls other than temp...humidity was just where it went.....
The lights were older 1000w + 400w hps, on timers, and everything flourished along with the weed! That's when I learned how very little it all needs.

Thanks so much friend that's really helpful. I didn't know how finicky they would be compared to autos.
