I think it's because I'm amazed at the results and I don't want it to be shown to be incorrect mate! Hahahaha! I thought about it very carefully before I said 2g/w as it was a real surprise. I don't want to make false claims! So claim withdrawn until SBC and SS get the chop lol [emoji3]

Do it mate! One cob would do the trick in there I reckon and grow a big girl! No extractor, doors and flaps open a lot and it won't smell too much with one plant mate.

@hippy71 Nice! 2g per watt? The gut at my local gs was kinda laughing at me when yesterday. I told him they should supply stuff to do cob builds, he says they don't yield for shit compared to hid. Ha!

I so want to do a cob build for my tent. pair a 315w cmh with one. Love the color spectrum of the cmh's, how do the led compare with cob? sometimes from pics it seems like you need a space suit to go into an led room

Thanks mate! Lol at the GS guy! I used to be the same with cars. I'd be bigging up my old 90s sports coupe and seconds later get dropped by someone in a modern turbo diesel family hatchback!! Hahahaha [emoji3] Times change and it's hard to change with them sometimes bro! Especially for old dino's like me and the GS dude [emoji3]

I don't know anything about cmh mate. What sort of spectrum are they? Yellowy white looking? I don't want to say anything against led as I think there are some awesome led's out there. I absolutely love the white light of the cobs though. Makes it very easy to see the health of leaves/plants and you don't have to take the girls out the tent to take photos! [emoji3]

Haha yeah old habits die hard, can't teach an old dog new tricks and all that jazz :biggrin: He was younger than me for sure, and I mean I'm almost 40 but that ain't that old.
I feel like growers fit into two categories. Those who tinker and experiment, try out new techniques and grow methods. And those that look to find something that works well and stick with it.

CMH? Damn close to the sun, light is natural, bright and clear. Sounds like they are similar to leds. I love metal halides and enjoy gardening more under them for sure.

That was exactly how I did my first grow. Doors open all the way, I feel like the ladies get claustrophobic in a closed closet or tent!

The grow?Successful, so I upped it to 12 plants and never considered the smell. My neighbors loved me
