are you using anything to check the ppm? most hydro guys live or die by their ppm/e.c. meters. just something to think about.

Not measuring ppms yet. Haven't had the spare cash to pick up a meter. I am keeping it low, so I don't anticipate any huge problems from that. I am staying between 1/4 and 2/3 on the nute strengths, and I have looked at my local water report, so I am going to try to roll without one until I can afford it. Not the best way, but we work with what we have..

I am considering soil after this grow, too. Haven't decided yet. I am focused in on getting a proper fan/filter so I can get the temps and odor controlled at the moment. Once my cab is dialed in, I will be thinking about more little stuff.

You guys should go offer some input on my fan/filter thread if you have some. I am going to be buying in the next few days, maybe as soon as tomorrow, and I want to make good decisions about the gear.

Day 30:

Had what I believe to be a ph issue that caused some spotting on a few lower leaves (Calcium issue). Noticed it yyesterday morning, and after fiddling with my numbers, it doesn't seem to have progressed since then.

Did some leaf-tucking, and put a pony-tail on Lefty. I'll leave her tied up for a few hours today.

Just placed a big order.. I am stoked! I finally get to finish up my cabinet!

I got a VenTech 4" fan, a speed controller, a 4x12 phat filter, ducting and vent covers, a ph pen, calibration solutions, and a bottle of cal mag.

I will be doing some pretty cool stuff with my ventilation.

I will be building a secondary box, which will be on top of the cabinet. The fan and filter will be all hung up inside this upper chamber. Holes will be cut in the top of the cabinet itself (bottom of the air chamber) for airflow to the filter. This will vent out of the side of the upper box. I may line the inside of the air box with carpet to cut the noise down.

Inside the main cabinet, the intake will run from the bottom, perhaps about a foot off the floor, with a hose pointing downward. It will run outside the box and then through the wall, into my bedroom closet. The Idea is to bring cool (or warm in winter) air in from the house to control cabinet temps. The box is in the garage, which gets up to 100 degrees or more in the summer, so I hope that the cool inside air will be able to maintain temps inside the box.

I can't wait to finish the build! I'm sure I will start a thread and share it with everyone.

Awesome grow soo far buddy...my boy Faded has done you right by the looks of it. Also Stoked to see you growing out those Crop King Gentics as I recently have taken on test growing for them.

Day 31- Lefty:

The transition has started! Lefty has some pistils on her top. Here are a couple of shots.


And here is how she looks all the way around.


Does anyone know why the tips are white? They don't seem burned, and have been white like this for several days. Perhaps I am just on the edge of overfeeding? Any thoughts?
