Hey Folks,
My apologies for not getting some documentation up sooner.
I received a package of [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG], [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] , & [HASHTAG]#9[/HASHTAG]
Separated them into 3rds, (I usually divide tester packs in half or thirds in case i have problems, I have another shot at it.)
First attempt, out of three seeds from
[HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG], seeds cracked but never produced a taproot,
[HASHTAG]#9[/HASHTAG], cracked and produced a very small taproot, but never grew.
[HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG], all three made it to viable plants, but one was a male, killed, one did not thrive at all, and was killed for space, and the other was a smallish plant that produced about 60grams cured. Smoke was very good.

This run has been nearly identical
[HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG], seeds cracked but never produced a taproot,
[HASHTAG]#9[/HASHTAG], cracked and produced a very small taproot, but never grew.
[HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG], all three made it to viable plants, but one was a male, killed
However, the remaining two are females and both seem to be doing very well.
They did have a brief stall when I changed their rez, but they seem as if they will be quite bushy, so I am not concerned as upward growth has resumed.
At 28 days they are roughly 10" or 25cm, I will try to get pictures up this week, but it is really hectic, so not sure what day it will be.

I have enough seeds to do another run at these again. I will post that when it begins in a separate journal.

Pic at 30 days.
Seems to be bushing out nicely, they are right at 12" tall today
Very strong skunky smell from these two.
Thanks for looking.

LBH #3's @ about 41 days.
These girls are a nice 34"/86cm tall.
They want a lot of N, consequently they are not quite as green as I like, but I just don't have the time to dial them in better.
I think they are going to be fine.

LBH #3's @ about 45 days.
These girls are a nice 39"/99cm tall.
Still wanting more N than I can keep an eye on now, so they are still a bit light in color, but no problems.
Also bear in mind, I run lights 24 hours

I have grown out a LOT of autoflowering strains. I also have the occasion to help setup new medical growers at times.
When I started using 24/0 schedule I did it for temp control in my own environment, but most of the med growers I helped setup did not need the light to help with temps, so I usually had them setup on a 18/6 schedule once in flower or, if the newbie seemed overwhelmed, throughout the grow.
So those newbies, served as my very non scientific "control", as I was almost always growing what they where at the same time to be able to anticipate what their grow would be like.
My yields were consistently much bigger than those grown with a dark period. And once I began to grow hydroponically the differences are just too large for me to ignore.

So basically, you can look at almost every grow I have done on AFN and it is under 24/0 lighting.
there are a couple of very early grows that I used a dark period for the autos with but none since then.

I also grow photoperiod strains, vegging on a 24 schedule and then pushing the light schedule as far as I dare with the strain.
I have found many strains can tolerate a dark period of 11, 10 and even 9 very well.
Seeing that I grow on such a small scale, I only consider my experience anecdotal and don't know that others would feel their own plants benefited from my light schedules.
If I had room and time I would love to do the proper research to asses the cost benefit ratio.

sorry i sey somthing lol..

No problem, I can be pretty verbose.
Strains I have had good luck indoors with on a short darker period
RP Skywalker kush did fine under 11hr dark period
Second gen did well under 10.5 No third generation yet
White Afghan (breeder not known) did well under 11 first generation, 10.25 second generation and 9.5 third generation
White widow (breeder unknown) same
Northern Lights ( breeder unknown)did well under 11 first generation, 10.25 second generation and 9.5 third generation, fourth generation 9 hours.

Plants were selected for speed and vigor.
Base is 50 seeds
Given 24 hours light schedule.
First 25 to produce leaves were selected, the rest discarded
after 10 days the top 15 are selected, the rest discarded
at 21 days the top 5 females are selected, if males are desired top 3 are selected also otherwise all are discarded.
At this point I pay careful attention to preflower, those that seem to be the fullest and most robust are selected for shorter dark period.
There is no transition period
first gen goes straight to 11 dark period.
Assuming they handle it well, next generation is worked for a 10.5 hr dark period and so forth.

If I was a nordic grower, I would work the strains I was interested in, indoors to reduce dark period.
Then introduce them to outdoor conditions after I was reasonably certain I had the photo period fixed (probably 5 generations)

Update on the #3's
Doing very well at this point, finally greened up to my liking.
They are about 43"/109cm
pushing out pistils, so the budding has begun
The darker plant at the front is a Magic SB
The two plants in the back are the #3's.
