The current harvest
Hey Folks,

As a good boy I'm starting my auto journey with an Intro thread.
I'm a long time toker, but a greenhorn when it comes to growing my medicine.
I started growing last year with a couple of photo seeds from GHS (The Church CBD). I chose this strain because of the 1:1 ratio and the modest amount of THC which it contains. That and the same amount of CBD made this a nice strain to start after a break of about 10 years.

I have a nice greenhouse with lots of space in which I grow all sorts of greens in a hydroponic NFT system and saw the opportunity to put a couple of 60L barrels wherein I grew three Church CBD photo's. The problem I ran into was that there is a factory nearby that outputs a lot of lightpollution and it took ages for my plants to go into flower. Harvest time was the last week of November and by that time they where the last plants in the greenhouse and that got me really paranoid...

As I said my goto system is hydro because I don't have green fingers at all. If I put it in soil it ends up dead.
The fact that I can measure everything (pH, EC, temp, humidity, etc...) is a godsgift to me. I'm a technical person and like to tinker so figuring out stuff is a big part of the fun for me and that's why I don't like growing in soil. To much variables which can't be measured.
Being a tinkerer I also make my own nutrients with the help of a nice tool called hydrobuddy because I cannot get over it paying way to much money for such a cheap resource. If people only knew what the actual cost of those expensive bottles are...Don't get me started

Ok, that was a bit about my past, now the future...
Because of the light problem I went looking for a solution and as I like to read up on stuff it didn't take me long before I discovered this forum. I liked the abundant information you guys/gals have about auto's and by the end of December I got my seeds in the mail. Since Dinafem has a huge reputation here I ordered from them. I got a wide selection from allmost pure CBD strains to full-on THC only strains thinking I could mix and match as I need. Sometimes one likes to get blasted instead of medicating the backpains which come and go, but luckily stay mainly away when taking CBD oil.

I already started this seasons grow and as per recommendation I also began a private photo and written diary for future reference. I will post it when winter comes as by then I can get rid of (most of) the evidence.

Regards,

Bob

Thanks

Hey bob, jpkindbud here... i read your problem. Is your greenhouse large or small? You could prob throw a tarp over it to block the light from the factory next grow... or hook a rope system to the tarp and draw it over?

Thx guys! I briefly considered using a tarp, but that would make the entire setup to noticeable from the outside. That's why I made the change to auto's for this season. Let's find out together if this was a wise decision

@420Forever: Since your a Staff member I'm probably addressing the right person for this next question.
Since I'm growing in a greenhouse. Where should I be posting my grow? Indoor or Outdoor?

outdoor  ppp
