Grow Mediums Gorilla Tape to Block Water?????

Hey, thanks for the feedback and info, b0b, and again apologies to Alex for jacking your thread. Stones slap But it kinda fits with the Vertigo experience. I've gotta confess that I've been biased toward the VxSG hybrid because of its speed in growth and sharp-featured appearance. And it's frosty all over. My first plant. But the Vertigo looks like it will be productive and maybe even have heavier buds. We'll see, if I don't kill her due to my "corrective" help, trying to solve the mystery of the yellow fans. I had plans to ScrOG or LST, wanting to jump in after seeing all the great results with those here on AFN, but I'm glad I let these go their own way, because they've produced good-looking bud all over. A newbie's comment: I can't believe how well they grow and produce! Good job you breeders.

All reversed!!!! Auto Mazar, Think Different, AK, White Widow, Blueberry, and Speedy Gonzales X Vertigo. Have females for each, but blueberry is already flowering pretty strong. Also have a female Maxi GOM, Pineapple Express, and Amnesia, so might try some crosses with the blueberry or others.

Getting anxious for them to drop pollen. Have large paper bags for lawn clippings, 16 X 12 X 35 inches, they will go into at first sign of dropping pollen, then cover with large, clear plastic bag.

thats awesome , you should have a truck load of fem beans soon

Doing gender shift on that many, all at the same time, that's consistency! Good job! I was wondering what your ratio of success to failure was going to be, and this much success was unexpected. And I was wondering how you would keep pollen from so many strains separated -- grass clippings, huh? You seem to really have this under control, Alex. That is so cool.

Here are updated pics. In order of Auto Mazar, Blueberry, Think Different, White Widow, Speedy Gonzales X Vertigo, and AK.

the ww and the sg X v look like you will end up with selfed fems , im not fond of selfed seeds but lots of breeders are , let those plants go long enough for the seeds to mature and see what you get

lookin good

peace Cool:

edit : the ak might too and possibly the AM

What are the ramifications of selfed fems??? Will I be able to collect decent amount for others, or will they be poor producers? Does that just mean they did not fully reverse?

Will try for 45 PPM next time. I started most before any signs of flowering. Maybe need twice a day. Tried to drench them (stalks, underside of leaves, etc.).

That might also effect my collection method (will post shortly). Was going to snip the stalk at base, and remove to make retrieving pollen easier.

Most worried if selfed fems means poor pollen production. I have some beautiful girls, begging for sex!!

Plan to use Home Depot lawn clipping bags (two ply paper, 35 tall, 12 X 16). Will put pots in at first sign of flowering. Will put pots in trash can liner, ziplocked around base of stem. Then a cardboard insert, to support freezer paper, covered by wax paper. The whole thing will be covered by 50 gallon clear plastic bag, inverted over lawn bag, and cut so only about a foot of overhang.

Basically that, covered with freezer paper and wax paper, with plant, and covered by plastic bag. Also pot would be in plastic bag and ziplocked around base of stem. Then cover with 30 gallon bag, cut short.
