Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies

@St. Tom

Hey buddy got a question. I have been reading up on coco. I am a bit confused.

I water 10 liters nutrient water to 4 airpots.
9 liter airpots. I water one time per day. I get 5 liters of runoff. That's a lot more than 20% runoff.
I then check the EC. It is the same exact number as I put into the container, 0.9EC This is daily. Always the same exact EC in runoff as I put into the coco.

It seems like I am wasting massive amounts of nutrient water. 50% runoff is way too much. And the EC in the runoff is the same as the incoming water.

My plants are super healthy and green. Maybe I can stay at 0.9 EC but water only 5 liters per day? Between the 4 containers. So like 1.3 liters of water per container, per day. That should still give me 25% runoff.

Also, from day 3 onwards, I have always soaked the coco to 50% runoff. Lots of water. And .5 EC from day 3. Then onto EC 1.0. Some say you should not soak the coco with a seedling. They also say you should not use that much nutrients. Besides my little bit of leaf burn. My plants took it like champs. Is that normal?

Does this sound correct or an I completely wrong?

it all sounds correct but i don't feed mine everyday until they need it but then to run off so after you feed before you feed again lift your pot but don't ever let it dry out and then each time she needs it feed her again to say min 10 pcent runoff but 20 you will never ever get any build up that way does that sound better

Ok well I am way over doing it. I need to reduce the amount of water I use and probably not water everyday. Because I get 50% runoff and if all I really need is 10% runoff, then I am wasting so much nutrients.

also bro your smashing it keep as your going and you will be fine and as they say there are more than 1 way to skin a cat meaning everyone has there own little routine and if you just feed them as needed and get your little run off your going to do great :frog: its a scary time always worrying your 1st few grows so its not just you also i took my big autopot girl down today a humboltd choc mint auto in my main sanlight thread if you fancy a look that back there is my home

I will definitely take a look at your thread. Thanks again for the help.

I let my plant finish draining and after a couple hours I tested it. Couldn't believe my eyes. 5.8 PH exactly. I tested it again. 5.8 drainoff. The PH perfect actually tested at 5.8 after going through coco. I am blown away. :eek1:

19 days old. Clawing leaves so I lowered from 1.0EC to 0.6. Once the plants stop clawing I will go to 0.8.
The stems are thick as pencils. I am super happy about that.

3 1/2 weeks. 5 days since the last photos. Plants are doing great. Stems as thick as markers and knuckles on the branches are insane. I am pretty sold on PH perfect and this 315W CMH.

@St. Tom

Hey buddy. Hope you like the update. My EC was giving me bad curling leaves. Too much Nitrogen. I'm now watering at 1.1 EC and my runoff is 0.8. Plants are eating about 0.3 EC per day. Sound about right for 3 1/2 weeks?

you only need to check run off if your having problems and they look fine to me i maybe check mine if i have a lockout if they were mine id be made up

I personally would only have one in that space, 20litre pot and she will fill the whole tent after supercropping.

This is my personal preference though in terms of use of medium, feed, and processing at the other end; one big plant easier to deal with than 3 smaller ones from my experience and you should get the same amount of bud regardless (probably a controversial opinion)

But having only 1 comes with pitfalls so probably go with 3 then if 1 doesn't perform too well you have 2 good ones left ideally.

@Devon

I am not even at week 5. I should have listened to you. 1 plant super cropped at week 3 would have gave me a plant that filled 3x3 perfectly.

One... My current Gorilla Cookie (Urban Legends) outgrew my 2x2 even before flower...

@Wico
Seeing is believing. One plant is 2 to 3 foot and I am not even at week 5. The 3 plants are all crowding and shading out the mid to lower branches.

1 Gorilla Cookies was all I needed.

Time to get a 5x5 tent and try to get 4 plants supercropped.

I did some half ass super cropping and broke off a couple smaller branches. Wasn't happy about that.
