I've worked in electronics manufacturing for over a decade and hand soldering with silver solder is quite common for me. I will have inhaled 500 times the amount of silver fumes that would be present in any bud. To say there is a high risk smoking the bud, I'm not so sure I can get onboard with that. Realistically, just smoking anything is going to be bad for you.

To put it further into context, the risk's from leaded soldering fumes is considered far more dangerous. The tin/nickel/silver solders are considered far safer alternatives. I don't go around trying to suck in extra solder fumes mind you, but I havn't experienced nor have any of my coworkers any sort of lung issues.

We have no way of knowing that unless it's lab tested. There is no evidence to suggest that the silver is mobile within the plant. It really needs to be tested before drawing any conclusions IMO. I'm not suggesting others to try it, but we do smoke the rest of the plant that was not sprayed with CS. There is no difference in appearance, smell or taste.

I think that is the point. Why risk the inhalation of heavy metals? When it can be taken care of by the use of clones or smaller plants that you don’t feel a loss for the bud or lighting, time, or nutrients. Not worth the risk in my opinion. I don’t smoke moldy or pesticide laced medicine either and have composted my share of it.

Have you guys considered making edibles out of the rest of the plant? CS is available in many health stores and used in agriculture on fruits and vegies. I am no Doctor or authority on what is healthy, but the info available online suggest that it's quite safe for consumption.

If you dont mind me asking. Are you still only spraying CS for 10 days, then stopping all together?

I stopped too soon the first time. Now I make sure I spray until at least 10% are open, and I even spray after that until the first pollen is visible.

Next plants I use for making pollen I’m Just going to use Clones such a waste of a plant spraying it with cs than having to throw it away

Yeah, I smoked the parts I didn't spray, and the smell and taste was aweful! It was a Gelato, and very different from the other Gelatos. Very Harsh, and now my eye won't stop twitchin
