Hell yes is right O! I've just read the thread start to now and am pretty excited to get something going. Got lots more ideas.
By the way, there was a mention many pages back about quitting tobacco with shrooms. I have to say yes. I've only tried shrooms 3 times so far (all within the last 2 months). My first time was a TRIP. The 2 times after that were more mild but more personal. On my 2nd time I was outside smoking a cig and realized how nasty they were and that I really wanted and needed to quit. I didn't even have a craving for 2 days later. Then I gave in and smoked. 5 days later I went up to the hills by myself and actually used the powerful innerthoughts about my smoking consume me. I actually had a ritual. I went to a stream while listening to an awesome sound track instrumental and tore up a full pack of cigarettes and watched them float away individually and with each one floating away I felt better and better. It's now been 1 week and 2 days since I had this experience and I have been able to suppress my urges. It's getting easier and easier to cope with not having nicotine, and I am a firm believer that shrooms did help me quit. They gave me that inner power to eliminate the bad from my life. I still get that craving, but it's easier for me to overcome it - and so far so good!
Anyways, I'm going to be running the PF tech with cakes. Out of curiosity why did you start with bulk (Odin)? Seems that fully colonized cakes are much more resilient to tams than the bulk methods, and I saw a lot of tam in here. This is going to be my first grow so I honestly have no idea other than what I've researched. I do have a few supplies left to buy. I need another light timer and temp/hydrometer, and I gotta get me an LED light in the 6000-6500k range to fit in the light fixture I'm using (It's a mini base and CFL doesn't fit).
As a first timer and my need for making things as simple as possible at the cost of paying more money, I am going to be purchasing pre-made substrate jars that have already been sterilized and are ready to be Noc'd up. I've got my incubation and FC setups ready (though I need to do some temp/RH test runs to dial in the enviornmentals).
I'll be ordering all these supplies on Friday. Then it all comes down to obtaining some spores. I'll keep ya'll posted and maybe I'll post up some pics of my setup in the meantime - when I get a chance! I just want to dig in and get some going already! I hate waiting but that is also some of the fun haha.
