GoAuto and roark's fungi extravaganza "Work area" Hard hat's please!

Well OK, glad you guys are picking up the ball. I just ended up sterilizing and "making" LC jars out of the ones with the filter. Still have the ones made up with the Tyvek. Since I was a couple weeks or more behind some of you, and was just getting ready to PC the Tyveked jars, when Tav said we would have plenty. The 6 jars I have 'growing' look about half as full of LC as yours Auto.

So, I guess I will just keep checking in and see how you guys are getting on before I go any further.

Thanks Auto, Roark, and GBD for posting what you have and are!

Peace.

Okay lets roll...
Here is the mix.
15 C compost manure
8C coco coir
8C vermiculite
8C distilled water...I used tap. Probably won't in the future.
8C cooked and strained cracked corn.....pre cooked 4c corn in 11c water. Simmered for 20-30 mins. Definitely not cooking the corn!!!! Then strain well. Dont want it soggy.
This recipe was gifted to me and so far...3-4 days seems to be working. For my buddy.
Squeeze test...lite squeeze=drops....heavy squeeze=stream.
The bagging
When mix is to preferred moisture I measured 5-5.25 cups sludge to each bag. Then sealed them. I would recommend getting as much air out as you can before sealing them. I rolled/folded the tops of the bags so the filter is facing up.
The P.C
I put 6c water in p.c I put 4 small rings under main tray to keep them off the bottom. I also put 4 1/2 gl jar rings on top of the main tray then stacked the bags. Alternating them so the filters are NOT covered. Sterilizing for 1 hr @ 15 psi.

Things I learned so far..or mistakes I think I have made.
I put in 10 cups water in the mixture and once the bags were sealed I noticed a bunch of water in the bottom. So hence the 8 cups. I'll know in a few hours how that worked out.
I should have used masking tape over the filters to protect them. I will in the future.
To soak up some of the extra moisture I think it would have been better to have put in maybe 1-2 cups of vermiculite not more coco.
Sorry for no pics. I will do pics the next go round for sure!!! Or when I pull the bags out.

Please if any has anything to help me improve and or positive reinforcement I'd love to hear it. Again this is a mix an match play by ear experiment.

What the six bags looked like after innoculating. 20140812_195706.jpg
I hittin um with a full 60 cc's of culture each. I have them in an incubation chamber in my grow room. Yeah there maybe too much water in them lol. I laugh but that stuff stinks to high hell. I want to find a recipe for no poo. Dogs loved the new aroma.
Auto how are yours lookin?

Hey Auto, what corn to vermiculite ratio did you use? And, seeing as that I am too fu**in lazy to put in your full name, is there a shorting that you would prefer, like.....Auto, Go, or 6; should you indulge in my laziness at all?

So after lookin over the steps to mixing the bags, I realized that I have probably botched that whole damn process. From stacking them and mixing the substrate to rolling them up.. Lmao. If I get bacteria to grow in them I will be elated!
I wilk try an post that link. It was a side link on the poo woth extras.
