Lighting Giveaway Finished....

It’s been 5 years, doing a little weekend land clearing when a guy dropped an oak from the excavator bucket. The good thing was I got a helicopter ride but the bad thing is I didn’t remember it.
Unlucky. My dumbass climber dropped a eight foot section of oak tree a few feet from me without any warning. Thing stood up on it's end in the mud. I kept picturing my shoes sticking out from under it like some cartoon.

Tree work is the most dangerous work there is. Trees are definitely the most dangerous animals in the woods.

Loggers call them "widow makers", trees that explode as they begin to fall. Never seen one myself but I have had branches swing down wrong and hit me in the knees and shins - OUCH - when doing top work.

Sorry, but probably better you didn’t remember it. My head wounds were always in the military with hospital nearby and I always had the thrill of remembering it all.
