Thought I did go 12/12 for a while. Set the timer and walked away, realized a couple weeks later that they had been at 24/0 the whole time, yep, total noob, at that point they were already all budding so I dropped it to 18/6 and left it at that.

contacted growers choice about the issue and they offered to replace the gg4. have to pay "shipping" tho..
i dont know if ill bother..at least they offered..

i took a cut of my gg4 just in case it doesnt auto...
roots out of the bottom of its rw cube in 4 days..no cloning gel..just dunked in aact once when it almost dried out..used a dirty knife to take the cut.lool..im amazed! ive never seen a cut root so fast.the gg4 is still growing..hoping this is stretch..fingers crossed.

Wait...so you can't grow em in 24 hour light? Or is it better to still reduce the lights on autos?

You can run an auto 24/0 the whole way, but what I’ve heard from the experienced growers is that a bit of darkness gives them a much needed rest, immunity, overall health that sort of thing; and also, that increases in lighting costs $$ vs. additional yield doesn’t wash. Man O’Green recommends 18/6 all the way through.

I run 18/6 as well, however, transition to 24/0 the last few weeks of flower - specifically when I have especially dense flowers.

The 24/0 stabilizes RH swings that you see with lights off temperature drops.

My GG4 from Growers Choice went 130 days. She autoflowered on her own about day 65. First grow — I was all excited to be high at about day 75 — big disappointment. But that being said — she was a monster, gave me almost 4 oz. despite all my noob stress and stunt techniques, her buds were fine and I’m still smoking her right now

She looks great for 9 days. I wish you the best on your first grow. You’re going to learn a ton of shit and with any luck, be smoking some fine bud you grew yourself at the end. Did you want to start a grow journal? Great way to meet other growers, both experienced to learn from, and noobs to learn with.

Ya GC is not that good. I had 6 seeds and only 3 came out good. But even then I’m at day 110 with two of them(Hindu kush) and they just started to preflower. I also have a GG who’s probably at day 95ish that is in flower but little to no Crystal’s. Either way my last and only grow with them. I picked up a bunch of seeds from @mephisto and can’t wait to chop down what I have now to try out those.
