Why not, sign me up! So 2 weeks prior to Feb 1st will be start of germ time?
Here we go ladies and gentlemen, remember I've got beginners luck on my side. Just remember not to cry into your finished product at the end of this as it will lengthen your dry/cure time and you'll need it asap to lighten the blues
Week 1 Day 12 - Berryblue, Compassion Lime, Critical Jack Herer
Week 1 Day 6 - Afghan Kush Ryder - Rough start and slow growth but haven't given up on her
General Battle of the Year 2019, 8th-14th Week 2 Pictures. Had a small N tox issue (God these Autos are Sensitive in those first weeks) but things are progressing well.
Delicious Seeds Critical Jack Herer - Day 21 - Showing sex, will start LST this week.
Oasis Genetics BerryBlue - Day 21 - Showing sex, will start LST this week.
Dutch Passions Compassion Lime - Day 21 - Showing sex, will start LST this week.
World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder - Day 15 - Still limping along but really starting to put on size after almost zero gain in the first 11 days.
Group shot - 11 Feb 2019 - Day 21
The BerryBlue(TL) is growing like a monster, first to show sex though seems to be the most sensitive to nutrients. The Compassion Lime(TR) is growing well and in the Middle of the 3 current contenders. The Critical Jack(BL) is growing very uniform and on track with the others in node numbers but is staying squat and bushy, still waiting for those critical genetics to spring but we'll see. So far it's looking like the BerryBlue may be my competition plant but a lot can change in the next couple weeks. Thanks for having a look, cheers.
General Grow Battle 14th-21st Update.
Plants from top left moving clockwise. DP Compassion Lime, Delicious Seeds Critical Jack Herer, Oasis Genetics Berryblue, and WOS Afghan Kush Ryder. Week 4 for first 3, week 3 for the Afghan. Things are moving along fairly smoothly though plants are growing slower then I like. May move over to the HPS bulb soon to induce some stretching. The Jack Herer really hated being tied down so I've eased up on it a bit just trying to get the main stem towards the center of the pot. Don't think I'll be planting near the side of the pot again.
Is March 1st the deadline for choosing a plant?
Week 4 update.
Sorry about the crappy HPS pic, wasn't feeling like taking them all out of the tent for a good pic. Next pic will be of the chosen battle plant in proper lighting. Top left clockwise is Compassion Lime, Critical Jack Herer, BerryBlue, and Afghan Kush. Things are moving along, plants seem to be calmag hungry and hoping the switch to hps will induce some stretching. Size wise the berryblue looks like a good choice for competition, health and genetics def go to the Compassion Lime so we'll see what happens when I make the choice this weekend. The Critical Jack and Afghan are completely out of the running lol.
Here's my competition plant. Decided on the BerryBlue by Oasis Genetics. It's got a nice structure but it's looking like all my plants are going to be little 10" bushes. Didn't get much of a stretch this grow.
Week 5 update, Oasis Genetics Berry Blue 6 weeks old today. Starting to pack on frost all my plants are small this grow but I know what I did wrong so already looking forward to the next one.
Grapey Walter
Update Week 3
Not happy with any of my girls. They are some what stunted in my opinion due to the early over watering. Oh, well...they will still give me something.
Megacrop, sweet candy fed at 6.3 ph
Day/night time temps 77-83
RH 40-60
Week 7 update, week 8 for the BerryBlue. Plain ph water from here on out, looks on track for a mid April harvest.
Week 8 update, BerryBlue. Decided to give all plants one last feed today as the leaves were yellowing a little to quick for having 3 weeks left.
Week 9 update, BerryBlue 10 weeks old today, looking good for a harvest in 2 weeks, trichomes about half cloudy. She got a good haircut and is only getting plain ph water. Looks like I might actually get a decent harvest out of her for the size anyways.
Week 10 update, BerryBlue 11 weeks old today. This will be my final update as she'll be ready for chop this weekend. Can I get the code to put with the plant for her pre chop pictures?
Here's my final pic for the BerryBlue. When can we get codes for round 2? Looking forward to getting the next set of beans in the dirt.
