Harvest & Curing From dry to jars no burping?

in the 90's I used to keep my buds in the freezer after drying. However , it would ruin the food in the freezer with weed stank.. It was also pounds of weed,, maybe smaller amounts wouldn't hurt.

Alright so I guess that would be a regular freezer not a frost-free. Any details on how you did it? Dry it first then put in freezer? or?

I did some research on this topic and there even seems to exist a whole concept of "freezer curing". However, the advantages of this method are specifically for frost-free freezers and mine is not one. I am bit concerned this could ruin the buds. My worry is that the freezer will create frost from the humidity left in the buds and essentially ruin them (ice burn). I am curious to hear your thoughts on this
Yes, the freezing will move water around causing some of it to end up on the surface of the buds as frost, and that is why I suggest the aggressive early drying once they are thawed. However, I do not see much chance of this ruining anything, it will just mean adjusting the approach to drying. For perspective here, some growers actually wash their buds before drying them, and swear by the technique. If you can dry them effectively after soaking them in water, there should not be any issue with the relatively minor surface wetness after freezing.

Just my two cents of course, good luck with your decision. :pighug:

I have also tried water curing recently. The high is good but the smell and taste is weird, so maybe I messed it up. So you put it in mason jars or some other container? I was thinking about a glass tupperware if I end up doing it. Is this okay? Should I strive for drying fast after the cut to make it as dry as possible upon placing in the freezer? Btw, here is the lady today :)
