I finaly found a supplier in mn, for fox farm soil.I'm just wondering whats better there reg soil or the ffof? the cost is about seventeen bucks for 2 cubic feet,i don"t know if thats good or bad.I currently am using shultz moister control with added perilite.Seems to be working ok.

Think I paid 22 or 25 for good sized bag of ffof, great stuff thou, I mix with a peat and perlite combo to lighten it up

I use FFOF, and I also mix with Light Warrior fluff it up. 2 parts FFOF 1 part light warrior.

I use Happy Frog w/perlite for seedlings and FFOF w/perlite for the grow... 2 part FF to 1 part perlite.

As long as you amend the soil to make it less hot (coco or perlite etc.), FFOF is great! Usually however it burns the crap out of seedlings (especially autos) so I would start them in something more seed friendly like Pro mix or Manna Mix or something similar that you have access to up there... If you want to start them in their final container, try layering the soil so that by the time the roots are really looking for food they get to it, but not before. This does take trial and error with a strain you've never worked with but always rememeber it's easier to fix a deficiency that an overdose of nutes... Happy growing and good karma sent your way! :smokebuds: :peace:

Thanks all for your input,I'll be starting some autos when my cuurant grow is done and i might experiment with my mix and the ffof,I will post updates when I get some results.

I go straight Happy Frog the whole way. I even use HF with my Photos too, the whole way. Straight up. :smokebuds:

I haven't had any problems germing in straight FFOF. Soak the seeds in ph balanced water or use distilled water. Either way is ok. Until they sink. Plant straight in pre-watered ffof and keep them moist...Most of the time when I do this, I'll cover the top of the pot with plastic wrap and poke holes in it so the soil can breath. In 3 days, they'll pop...

I've never had an issue with FFOF burning my seedlings. I mix it with bat guano and my seedlings have always loved it.

I used straight up ffof when I was in soil with no issues from germination to harvest.
