Just picked up a bag of FFOF and was wondering if i could get some opinions. I've heard some bad results and some good results with starting seedlings in it. What do you think about it? Maybe ill get some light warrior too:amazon:

most say its too hot to start seeds in.
why not start the seed in seedling mix,
then transplant into the FFOF soil later.
seems to me to be the safest way to go
about using pre-ferted soil.
now the issue of FFOF having insect probs,
gnats and other pests,
i have to take the word of fellow growers,
as i have no first-hand experience with this
soil.
i have seen a few complaints but,it seems all
have been treatable...

thanks vendor i think what ill do is start the seeds in some of my home compost in solo cups then transplant them into 3 or 5 gallon pots with a 50/50 mix of compost and ffof

If you're had that compost outdoors I would recommend sterilizing it before you bring it indoors to kill off any insects and pests in the compost. Spread it out thinly and baking for 20-30 minutes in a 200 degree oven should do the trick.
