I want to know what everyone does when it comes to Flushing your plants?

I just use tap water for the last 2 weeks is that right?
I just bought some bushdoctor Sledge Hammer. I havent used it yet. When should I use it and how much?

Thanks for any info:D

Well i was told to flush 3-4 times the volume of your pot size with just phd water. Are you flushing for harvest or for a nute prob? :peace: si

Never used any flushing product to flush...since I use organic nutes, I really don't flush at all...just use well water the last week or two...

Perfect thread. I'm sure there's other that touch on this but I was going to start one if I couldn't find one.
I'm flushing most of my room right now (syrup and purple kush). I usually "flush" for the last 2 weeks with just water. I give them a little more than usual to get a small amount of run off. This time, I though I had it pinned with the date I was going to harvest but some of them have really matured in the last week. So with these couple 7 or so, I've flushed for a week, now I'm going to water them once with FloraKleen from gen hydro (1tsp per gal). I'm pretty sure this will be fine for the ones that get this because I feed about every 2 waterings ( water, water, feed)
Would like to hear how the sledge hammer works though, please do a product review once you have smoked your harvest. Good luck with everything.

The last 2 weeks I start out with a couple feedings of Final Phase, then I go ahead and dump 1 gallon of ph water in the soil, draining it slowing out of the bottom. Then feedings of just water, until 3 days before she comes down. The last 3 days I let her soil dry out. Last 24 hours she goes into the dark. I dont have any experience with Sledge Hammer. One Love

Sledge Hammer or FloraKleen are best for high-salt ferts, or non-organic ferts. Otherwise they aren't necessary, but they can help it mature faster when close to harvest, and produce sugars, and if you have the extra $$, there's nothing wrong with using them to help aid a flush.

I'd add it once about 3-4 days from harvest.

I only add molasses and water the last couple of weeks typically, and don't water it for the last few days of its life.

In my personal experience, I find that when growing in coco using Vitalink nutes, a 2 week tapwater flush is just perfect.
Generally speaking I grow photoperiod plants, but my autos have not suffered from this treatment.
I think when the plant looks just about done, kill the feed and pH adjustments. It seems to bring out nice colours too.
