New Grower flower stage seems to be taking ages

Hi guys ,one of my plants seem to be in pre flower for ages,unfortunately i did not make a note of the date when pre flower started ,is their any way i can speed things up ?

Have you switched to bloom nutes yet? Sometimes switching the nutes can cause the flip. Also you haven't mentioned what you were growing but sometime you get a genetic that just won't flip without a light change. If all else fails, shorten its light cycle and see if that doesn't make her flip.

Im growing Afgan Kush (autos) from Herbies seeds,i have switched from 24/0 to 20/4 ,i will now start using bloom and see if that helps,thanks

Also, i was wondering if it would be safe to nip out the top of the plant and if that would help to speed things up ?

If that doesn't help with that one plant you may have a seed that the auto gene is not presenting itself properly due to some instability in the genetics. Unfortunately, if that is the case you may have to drop it all the way down to 12/12 to get it to flip, but give it a chance at your new 20/4 and see what happens. I personally have never had enough increase in yeild to justify the extra electricity of a 24/0 cycle.

While I am one of those weirdos that believes you can top autos at the right stage of life, I don't think it will help with flipping a girl into full flower. Just curious, but who is the breeder?

World of Seeds is the breeder and they say 45-55 days but recommend a 20/4 cycle on their website. I've never seen an Auto that could actually finish in 45 days. Shortest one I ever saw was 60 days for a Medican Kush Fromage, they claimed 45 days also.

You can but not advisable this go around. They have people who religiously top autos but usually at about 14 days above the 3 or 4 the node.

That's the way I do it when I have a strain that I know can handle it.
