First Timer! Critical Purple Auto

Thanks man!

that’s also my dilemma.. I could keep training but I don’t want to stretch it too far out over the edge of the pot. And I also only have one light and I want to keep everything even. We’ll see. If she gets a little too scraggly I might have to tie her down again! I’ll play by eye and keep posted.:smokeit:

I was going to comment on your light. we strive for one gram of flower per watt. More is better obviously. Your limiting factor may be light. Other more experienced growers may be able to give you better advice. more light is the 1st option to consider. Not training your plant will result in a top main cola significantly higher than the others. The photo I provided is the result of major training for the 1st 4 weeks and this plant would do well under one light. It is in a 5 gallon pot BTW. I would still like to see 200 watts over her if she was my only plant. Another option is to let her grow and once she is a couple weeks into stretch gently bend her over in the span of a few days. Gently.
That one main top will be your determining factor as to how high your light is. Keeping the correct distance from the top will diminish the effect of the light on the lower colas. Probably significantly. Even with my successful early training I have several colas towering over others today. Hope this helps. And you will figure it out.

Yeah man I agree light is Important. This girl has a 600w LED over her. I have been training this in since about week 3 and I’m just trying to decide if it’s better to stop now at this point because I don’t wanna keep pulling her top node outside the edges of the pot. Since I planted in the center the whole base of the plant is shifted over to one side of the pot

You can start polling her around the pot. Tou will have older branches that you can shift over to make room. Hard to explain but it will make sense. Also If you have 600 watts over one plant I dont know where it is written that you have to stay within the confines of the pot. Lok at some photoperiod plants that are the size of washing machines. they are way outside the pots. If the light covers it it will grow. IMO.
What size pot are you in?

Great looking critical purp, I’m doing a run of that next to a GG auto. Just a heads up, I didn’t anticipate the stretch of the critical purp myself and she got out of control. Haha tight buds dude!

Thanks. Some of her buds today.
