Hi all, first post!
I figured since Im grounded at the house during all this I might as well try my luck on some autoflower seeds I bought in Amsterdam a couple years ago. Around the time I got the seeds I bought a couple 5 gallon fabric bags and enough Roots Organic original soil to fill both. So thats what I'm working with. I germinated 2 of the seeds and dropped them in the soil a few days ago and both have popped through and begun to grow!
I've done a bunch of reading, some great guides on here but had a couple questions. First is what do you wall think about growing in the sun during the day and bringing them into a grow room at night? Im in rural Oregon where I have nothing but bright blue skys and strong sun starting right around now. I also have a 2000 watt LED grow light (380 real watt) that I used to grow hydro. I can easily put the bags on a garden cart and roll it in and out of the house. Is that a stupid idea?
Second question, im on well and run my water through an RO filter. Ph is 6.5. I bought one of those garden soil testers with the 2 probes, soil is coming in at ~7.2, do I need to try to get that lower? I live on the Umpqua river and was hoping to use the river water, at least on one as a test but the ph is 7.5 so im guessing I should just use the RO water?
I've grown a dozen or so hydro batches and got some pretty amazing results. curious to see how soil goes. any tips or tricks would be appreciated.
Thanks all! hope everyone is staying safe, smokin bowls.
