Greners.com has pre-packaged kits...they're in CA so I'm not sure it makes sense to order from the UK, but something to look at if you wanted to do some research because their setups are custom tailored for what we do (grow herb!)
Dwc will give you a larger yield but there is a more difficult learning curve. With soil you just stick the seed in and apply water which is much more simplistic.
I would strongly suggest you stay with soil for your first couple grows before you try tackling hydro. Soil is easier to maintain and is more forgiving should something go wrong. In hydro things happen fast and since you are pretty new to growing, you could potentially lose your crop before you figure out what's wrong.
Most dwarf auto strains are capable of good yields if grown correctly. At this point I would suggest you be more concerned about learning how to grow. The big yields will come with experience.
