First time grower looking for tips

@420Forever which one would you reccomend?

well, tbh, i can't exactly give a firsthand reco, simply becuz i still haven't obtained one meself yet, lol  it'z on "the list" ya know :rolleyes2: everybody swearz by the bluelabz tho, so if ur money growz on treez, that'z the one to get...if however, ur money jus growz on small lil twigz, like mine duz  then go with the accurate 8...it'z still kinda pricey, but a super-wize investment fer sur ;) ppp

@Mañ'O'Green would something like this work? Or do I need to bite the bullet and spend more on something from bluelabs?
Typically thos inexpensive ones do not work. The Accurate 8 or the knock-off are the least expensive that do work.

This is the knock-off but sometimes the brand model is cheaper:

Hey guys! Just had a few questions for ya..

-I am 4 weeks in this weekend, when should I start expecting the ladies to flower? I'm assuming within another week or so.
-Once they do start to flower, should I flush them 1 time, then start adding my flower nutrients?
-Are there any other nutrients I should be adding from the veg-to-flower process? Right now I have big bloom, grow big and tiger bloom. But I'm just using Grow Big as of now.

I truly appreciate everyone's friendly input!! :smoking: Things are going good on my end, I hope the same with yall!

There should be some female flowers starting to show up any time now. Look for just a single little flower with two little white hairs sticking out. Do not ever flush unless you have some specific problem you are trying to solve. Use your grow nutes until the plant quits stretching, which at 28 days should be starting any time. Put a small wooden dowel along side your plant and start marking the top every AM with a marker. When she really slows down or quits stretching, start your bloom nutes. I've never used the Fox Farm nutes, but it's always a good idea to have a bottle of Ca/Mg on hand just in case.

I appreciate the reply, greatly! I have noticed them starting to flower finally! I will start to measure them and add flowering nutes accordingly once they stop stretching. Thanks again!!

Hey Hi how ya doing and a BIG Welcome to AFN and Congrats as well on your first grow :toke:

MrOldBoy here, most just call me MOB, anyways my thoughts on your grow:

Watering looks iffy, I note wet spots around the pot - I use a different type pot called a SIP Container but in a Cloth Pot I like to water from the outside inwards until I get a minimum amount of runoff - or - I’ll feel my cloth pot bottoms and weight of the pot and determine if soil is wet enough or do I need to add more but the biggest clue comes from the runoff or feeling for dampness of the bottom or on the sides as well .... Watering effectively is a art and you’ll learn as you go and a meter will help but that meter will only tell you how damp it is where the meter is stuck - other side of the pot could be dry ..... BTW overwatering watering and too much fertilizer are the two biggest plant killers followed by under water and under fertilization but no worries you will get this down .....

Fertilizer I like to use 1/2 and 1/4 dose, especially at first - this gives you some room for error and less chance of damage - with bottled nutrients less is better until you learn and understand how much you can give - we often try to hurry up by giving more, avoid the “make more better” syndrome if possible - sometimes it is hard not to tinker but step softly - with experience you will learn .....

Temps - I like to see my tent between 78-82 degrees with 65% humidity during first 4-5 weeks and slowly dial down temp to 78-74 during flower as well as humidity in the 50ish range maybe even 45% late ..... Your temp was 75 degrees, that’s a little on the cool side for young girls ......

Soil FFOF has some grown good plants but you might want to use Happy Frog for top half of pot, autoflowers don’t require a lot of nutes at first and Happy Frog works well where as Ocean Forest can burn ..... Also I like to water and let soil sit and water again before planting - helps even out the goodies in the soil ....

Good luck and the fun is soon s.tarting once the flowers start coming!

Peace,
MOB

PX .... Happy Holidays AFN!

Thank you for the reply Mob! Great info here!! I am forsure going another "pot route" next time! I will definitely look into the SIP containers.
I agree with the OF being too hot for them at such a young age. I will try dividing the soil like you suggested!
For the first 3ish weeks I was at roughly 60%rh and 77-82°, which is a sigh of relief seeing you say that, since I thought I was running too hot. The tent was open for a couple minutes which allowed them temps to drop in the picture.
Again, thanks for the helpful information.
