New Grower First time grow

I clipped a sample bud this evening, which I will try tomorrow. I would estimate the pistils are 25% to 30% Amber now.

Well, I sampled the small bud. Even though it was not cured and still too moist, it had a nice hashy taste and a nice relaxing stone. As a result, I harvested her last night. I snipped each branch, though having cut her off of water the lower ones were fairly easy to snap. Each branch was trimmed of any fan leaves and the buds trimmed up. Each branch is drying in a dry box (large cardboard box that I've strung twine across). The branches are spaced apart and the box is back in the grow tent where the humidity is @55% and temp is 70. I've kept the top of the box uncovered and the grow tent fan is circulating air. The trimmed fan leaves are drying as well. I didn't weigh the wet buds, but will weigh the final dried buds. Since this is for personal consumption, I plan on paper bag curing the buds. I've attached a pic of the main stem bud. Overall, for a first time, it's been a success. As always, comments and suggestions are welcome. I'm planning grow #2 for July 4.
