Hello all,

I just got my own place and naturally had to start something I wanted to do for a long time! This is my first post and just looking for some advice! I don't really know how to add pics so sorry if they're not high quality or too big or two small or whatever.

Tent: 32"x32"x63"
Light: SpiderFarmer SF2000 Currently at 28 inches
4gal pots
Coco Coir/Perlite 70/30%
10inch fan intake, 6 inch fan hanging(currently don't know if it should be cooling the light if that's even necessary or going out the top)
Humidifier keeping the tent at 55% and around 80F
I have calmag as well as general hydroponics flora grow, bloom, micro to feed when it gets to that point.
Seeds: Hindu Kush x Bloody Skunk Auto

I planted all four seeds directly into the Coco on 4/21 and watered with filtered tap water and they all have pretty much popped out at 5 days.

Here come my beginner questions.

To anyone that's used Coco before: Long story short, I started my grow while my ph up and down were still shipping and now the date keeps getting bumped back and so I will have a hard time balancing the ph being given to the seedlings for the next week or so. I can get some citric acid from work to hopefully create a ph down solution. I also have bought what seems like an unreliable ph meter so that'll need replaced asap. How critical is the PH at this point in the lifecycle? I think I already know it's probably important when using coco at any point in the life cycle. It looks like my filtered tap is about 7.0-7.5 (don't trust my meter so that's why there's a range lol.

Secondly, I've just been keeping the top of the coco moist and the darker brown color by using a lil pump pressure sprayer thing to sprinkle water over them a couple times a day. They've just popped up and I'm wondering how much water they need during their first week. Do I just keep spraying a until moist a couple times a day? This kind of leads into my next quesiton of fan placement. I have one way high pushing air out and an intake just sitting on the floor of the tent right in front of a pot... seems like it could be much better. I don't know if having it right on the same level is drying out the coco quickly but it gets to looking very dry after about 8-10 hours or so. But maybe that's normal... idk. Should I prop up the fan so its not just blowing directly onto a pot?

Also, after planting directly into the coco and watering afterwards, I'm reading I maybe should've treated it with some calmag before planting. Any opinions on that?

How Important is a Carbon Filter?
I plan on getting one soon but with these crazy shipping dates, I've held off on buying one just yet. I'm less worried about the smell at the moment and more about the health of the plants. Is a 6 inch fan pushing air out the top sufficient for now?

I know this has been debated a lot on here BUT I think I'll be keeping the light on 24/7. Thoughts?

Lastly I'm very aware that 4 plants in this tent is probably too crowded. Would you recommend picking a weak link after a couple weeks and removing one? Or just go for it with 4. I've seen other posts of people trying 4 in tents this size but would like opinions.

I'm just wanting any advice I can get and any opinions on my setup. I kind of went cheap with everything except for the light (which is probably cheap in some peoples eyes but was well over 1/2 the cost of the whole setup) but money isn't a huge issue so let me know of any obvious upgrades you'd recommend.

So carbon filters arnt needed for awhile so don't worry about that, lemon juice and baking soda lemon juice will be for ph down and b soda for ph up. As for your setup just remember that the heat rises so the exhuast fans pulling out the hottest air needs to be @ the top to be most affecting. As for how many you can grow that's hard bc some phenotypes are big some arnt also I've had plants that yield well that didn't get all the ligh it should have so I would wait and see.
