Hey Guys,
This is my first grow. The grow space is 2x2x4. The lights being used are 600W Mars Hydro.
The strain is 1 Sweet Auto Mango and 2 Himalaya Gold. The temperature has been in the 20's and humidity in the 70's.

Soil- I tried to make my version of Super Soil with the best ingredients that were available.
The ingredients used were coco coir, vermicompost, epsom salts, bone meal, perlite. Could not get Bat Guano and Dolomite. Personally, I think the soil I made was just good enough. (not so great)

Got the seeds from GHS, germinated them, put them 2ft underneath from the Mars 600W and went on a holiday for a month. :)
Whilst I was away a trustee was taking taking care of the babies. All he had to do was water them using Sea Weed Extract.

As I am typing, it has been 4 days since I returned home. The photo attached below is of the babies that I took today. There are about 42 days old

OBSERVATIONS : All the plants are very short and bushy. Even the auto just about 14 inches. The 2 photoperiod plants are about 8 inches. Is this because of the distance of the light or the high humidity?

However, all the plants have developed thick stems and branches. Lots of leaves and tight internode space.

I did see some nitrogen deficiency in the low fan leaves, also brown spots in some leaves (could be phosphorous deficiency).

Most importantly, the Ph of the run off water is 10. So I am feeding the plant Ph 3 solution in oder to lower the soils PH to 6.5.

NUTRIENTS: Btw, also started feeding the plants FloraDuo of GH.
I started to feed the plants straight up 2 ml of Grow and 2ml of bloom per litre. I only feed the solution after I check the Ph and PPM. Thought there would nutrient burns but see no signs of it.This is a surprise to me as I have read plenty of articles stating to be very careful regarding feeding. Is this because the soil PH is high and the roots are really taking in the nutrients effectively ?

DE-Foliating and Training For PHOTOPERIOD:

Had to trim the lower fan leaves of the plants for better air circulation and light penetration. They have been LSTed and topped to create an even surface for the lights.

DE-Foliating AUTO - I defoliated about 7 fan leaves as they were blocking the buds that were growing under. Started LST 4 days ago and the canopy has becoming more even, with lots of bud sites. I just hope the plant will not get stunted due to the defoliation. Also, I am aware that while budding the humidity should be on the 50's. ( I am working on that)

I would really appreciate if the experienced growers in this community could advice me on my observations.
Also I would like to know your opinion of the buds forming in the picture and does the auto mango look underwatered? The soils drainage is more that the water retention capacity so I have to water 500ml every alternate day.

Thanks and Peace !
