I took a picture before I left for work however it was horrible so I'll have to explain.

I planted 3 seeds 3 days ago after cracking them in a glass of water. My sugar black rose broke ground yesterday morning she was laying kinda curled up in the fetus position just visible under the dirt. Last night she was completely out of the dirt but still in the fetus position . This morning she came out of the fetus position but her stem looks like she has scoliosis and still laying on the dirt she does have two small leaves. She's not standing up at all.

My other two have not broke ground yet.

I have my leds about 18" away.

If I go home today to still see her laying on her side should I start a new seed?

Thanks

No it's more like it's growing crooked while laying slightly of the dirt.

Do you think you could have watered too much? She might be drowning because of soil that is too wet.
How tall is she? Sometimes they stoop over if they stretch too much.
How powerful are the LEDs? See if moving the lights a bit closer, say 12 inches helps (assuming it's not a particularly powerful panel).

Sounds like she may not have been planted deep enough ... I'd sift a little dry dirt over her and hope for the best.

Try supporting her with a couple of 'satay skewers', but if her stem starts to thin out, then dampening off and you need to change soil! Sometimes you just get a duff seed, but try to be gentle and show her some love mate. Remember that when you touch a youngster, you can do irreparable damage (they are very tender for a week or two!). I also wouldn't water the pot for a bit either...Hopefully some others will chime in soon! :karma Cloud: sent for both you and her! :Sharing One:
There's a fair chance she'll straighten up on her own, if given the chance mate! Also don't chuck soil on her, but carefully add a bit around the stem (if you feel it necessary, but be very gentle/careful when doing this.) No lumpy bits, sieve it first..."My 2 cents"

Could be watering but I don't think so. I soaked the pot 5 days ago and haven't added anymore yet. The thing is she never stood up she has never stood. Man I wish I had a picture.

I'm thinking this might be the case considering she poked her had out yesterday morning and the other two still have not. What's your recommended depth I went about 1/2 inch. One of the three I had an issue with the starter mix sticking to my finger and she might have ended up with less.

Hooray I finally was able to upload pic although it crappy

Ok I got home and she was laying completely sideways from her little leaves to her bottom of her root. right below her leaves she started to turn up towards the light. Seems really healthy her stem is straight and she has two more leaves just starting that wasn't there this morning. I figured screw it, I lift her gently out of the way pushed my finger into the dirt placed her right side up and gently pushed in the dirt to hold her straight. I buried her to just below her leaves.

Guess I'll hope for the best. I think I'll start soaking another just in case. If she does work out I left a place available in the middle of my tomatoes that no one can see. :Smoke more Dope:
