Hi everyone. Looking for a little advice/help on my first coco grow (2nd grow, but used soil last time). I'm growing autos, a few strains (3xNorthern Lights, 2xExtreme Impact, Tangiematic, Cropical, Critical Neville & 2xCharlotte's Angel cbd plants) I have an 8'x4' tent, running 4 Mars Hydro 480w Reflectors. Think I may have experienced a little heat stress, possibly from the lights being too low. Although the leds don't give off much heat, the fans on them certainly run warm. Have raised the lights but see a few pale leaves and am wondering if it could be heat/light stress. I know I have a nitrogen deficiency to one of the Charlotte's, and think this is because I was using bottle water to lower the EC, because my tap water comes straight out at 1.0+, and the bottled was 0.25ish. Running Plagron nutrients (coco's a&b, Pure Zym and Power Roots. Also Lemon Kick to drop PH) Now using a 60/40 mix of tap and bottled to bring ca/mg levels back up. I've attached some pictures, and tried to put as much info here as possible, so any comments offering suggestions and advice would be welcome.

Welcome to AFN Regina! :D

Coco can be fussy with PH .. do you know what level it's going in at?
It's nearly impossible to tell what the plant is telling you with a Purple LED on - it makes everything look dark! Try taking some photos with the lights off (if you can)

I'd PH down to 5.8 (although i don't know what Lemon Kick is ... I assume it's nitric acid and not citric? ... Nitric holds PH better)
What EC are you currently feeding at? Looking at the photos, i'd guess you should be somewhere around the 1.5 EC mark at their size.

@blue Thank you so much. Its good to be here, its a mine of information!

PH is going in at 5.8 and the Lemon Kick is actually citric. I've seen good reviews on the PH- which I believe is nitric, so maybe I'll switch to that.

EC on feeds is around 1.8, can't seem to lower it more than this and have already dropped the a&b dose to 75%, otherwise it's exceeding 2.0.

I'll get some clearer lights off photos shortly, appreciate the ones I've posted aren't the best!

@blue Got some light-off photos, hope they make my rambling a bit clearer Again, any help is appreciated First pic is the Charlotte with (what I believe is) nitrogen def. Second and third are Northern and Extreme with what seems to be slight taco-ing.

Hi Regina! I'm not the best at diagnosing! I always have to check with the pros - but to me it looks like a potassium def (on the scorched edges of the leaves) - most probably caused by High PH and lockout or a buildup of salts in the medium.

I'd be looking to correct the PH and push out some of the salts. Mix up a batch of light nutes and PH to 5.8 and water slowly until you get a really good amount of run off in your tray (you'll need to pour that away and not let your pot sit in it)

Here's a really good self diagnostic thread by one of our best
https://www.autoflower.org/threads/self-diagnose-your-plants-basic-deficiencies-list.11/

If you get completey stuck, run it by the infirmary, but be sure to tell them it's coco! :D

Hope this helps a little

Blue ^_^

Thanks again @blue I've only used 5.8 since the start, but have now changed from lemon kick to pH down, so hopefully that will be more stable. Just need to work on the bloody EC now, which is ludicrously high!
