Indoor first LED grow,180wactual draw 5w LED, 13" away should it be closer?should i train out further?day33

its a joint dr purpleryder, 6.5lt pot, biobiz all mix,ata root stim, hydrosilicon, dutch pro vege + bloom, canna mono N and trace, magnacal. was started under 45w blue cfl, then 90w blue at two weeks and up to 150w mix red and blue clf until 3 days ago when it went under the sunspect units below. (2x180w. 90w actual draw) +2x23w red cfl) it is now 13" away and started at 14" inch away 3 days ago. no symptoms.

my question is should i let it get any closer to the lights?

and also should i tie the plant out more at the back and sides which is where the led are covering most. i have the two cfl at the front as u can see. should i just pull it out so the buds are going to be touching the mylar so most of the leaf is exposed rather than overlapping? it looks like the LED would cover it. ? what do u think?

any input apriciated as only 3 days in with led, thanks guys

Might as well expand your grow to the edge of the tent ... does the manufacturer have a recommendation for distance ? I would probably recommend 18-24" above canopy ... nice looking grow ...

hey , cheers , good to get some feedback.

i couldnt find anything manufacturer wise, read 10-20 inch away for 5w chips. but these are just running 1/2 draw where as some other units draw more through 5w chips so i figure a little closer is ok. i had my ogre at 14-9 inch with no prob for a 10 days to test slowly moving closer to 9 inch but its an old plant and was day 75 of 70 when i put it under as a test. this one i started at 14 inch to and its now 11 inch away with stretch and no negative symptoms.

should i move it back to 14 inch away from the tips do u think and let it stretch back to 11 inch away?

If you're not getting bleaching and no serious signs of heat stress then the current distance would seem to be OK ...
