New Grower First harvest; should I trim more?

Amazing looking buds! I'm liking the colours! I always never trim too tight to start off with, i think when it dries it helps the buds dry a little more evenly. the sugar leaves help keep in some of the moisture. then when its done drying i just pull them off and make some tincture/budder/oil out of it with the rest of the trim. But thats just the way i like to do it :)

Some good lookin buds.

Does the potency of cannabis increase during the curing process?

Without any doubt. Curing is very powerfull chemical process or better processes. Many things in buds change chemical structure in a way that we like it. From my point of view, buds have not been cured if had not been sitted in a jar for 2 months at least. Curing improves many poor stuff but generally rule remains garbage in garbage out, so you can not get top weed out of bullshit harvest.

I like to trim most of the leaf, as much as i can. I grow for a smoother smoke and prefer less stem. I also trim my buds off the branch. When I hear 7 gram bud, i hear big stem in the middle and leafy. Personal preference i think...

That is definitelly your personal preference but I agree with you 100%.

Thanks fellas...yeah this is for personal use so if it was heavily triched, it stayed on.

Another question...when cannabis is weighed, is it weighed after cure or after dry??? Wouldn't think the nugs would lose any weight from curing negligible at most...

The real result for "statistical purposes" would be at 62% RH or somewhere around and does not matter when is measured but when this humidity is reached. Some people dry it down to 62% in 7 days, some people do it slowly, with some burping in one month maybe. I am one of the quickest after reading about mold/mildew in samples around USA.
