This is my first ever grow, and I have only ever seen one other living plant in my life, so I’m somewhat lost. I have grown vegetables and houseplants forever, though. My BIL gifted me a tent, fan, light and my first seed to give it a whirl. He’s tried to guide me some, but I’m not positive he’s giving the best advice either!
This is a Critical Purple Auto, day 27 from first wetting the seed. It seems very short and bushy compared to others I’ve seen in videos, etc. I’m trying the LST method so the top is tied down here, side shoots I have pinned down to fan them out, big leaves tucked behind as much as I could.
The light is a 400W LED w/ veg & bloom switches, tent is 2 x 2 x 3. Using composted soil, amended with organic granulated fertilizer 5-2-6, and I’m using a half-strength mixture of fish/guano fertilizer and molasses every other watering that works out to 10-6-7.
So, back to the bushy-ness problem. I know she will probably stretch soon as she’s showing pistils already, should I move the light further away to encourage stretching out or just let her go as she has been? Also I was running the light with both the blue and red, per some maybe bad advice, but I’ve changed it to just Veg after the most recent photo.
Any advice is welcomed!
