First grow. Unsure what to do now.

First time grower here. My plant has formed a few spindly, lighter green bits as you can see from this image.

Am I supposed to take any action at this stage?

Based on what you see, is this likely to turn into actual product, i.e weed that I could put into my vape?

No action needed, just keep it healthy and growing and enjoy the journey

Probably fine......possibly your grow light is a few inches too close....

@EP3 it's a fairly crude operation, little more than a seed in the soil. No perlite, no nutrients, no fancy LED's.

During the day it sits on a windowsill. Each evening it gets moved to the floor with a lamp hovering 3-4 inches above the canopy. Around 20 hours of light a day. It gets watered every 2-3 days or when it looks dry.

Why do some people use fans on their plants? Should I be using one?

Yeah, air circulating among the leaves mimmicks natures wind. It helps the plant transpire and reduces risks of mold or bugs, also.

Hello, a month on from my last photo, here is an updated image.

How long do you think before it's ready to harvest?

Also, in the last couple of weeks it's started to have quite a strong smell. We've got a lot of clothes hung up in a wardrobe and there isn't much ventilation in the room (I keep the window closed as it's still winter). Is the aroma from the product likely to linger on clothes?

OMG, doubt the missus will be impressed at her coats and all our spare towels/bedding smelling of weed. Think I might have to move the plant to another location before things get worse.

Judging by the picture, any idea how long I should leave it before I start cutting the bud off the plant? Thanks.
