Hi everyone,
im new to this but have been doing some research.

Here is my plans for my grow, any suggestions welcomed

4x4x7 grow tent
600 watt MH & HPs light
5-10 Barney's Farm - Sweet Tooth - Auto Feminized Cannabis Seeds
4-5 gallon pots
growing in canna coco
6 inch carbon fiber filter
cooled reflector with 6" inline fan at 455 cmf
(http://www.amazon.com/Professional-...rifier/dp/B005E1CW9W/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) could anybody tell me if that would do instead of the filter?

I live in a cooler climate (where in the winter it will drop below zero) and wondering how much heat will be admitted by the light.

is my grow medium ok? anybody else try it?

Im not sure what nutes i will be using but i will be taking very good care of these babies

My plan is to adventually have a veg tent plus a flowering tent running off the same exhaust system

thank you everyone!

respect

Hey Monster you could probs get away using 3gal pots unless you wana grow some monsters and i dont personaly think you have to use 4-5 gal pots as auto sweettooth only grows to like 50cm so 2-3gal would be o.k i could be wrong tho but its personal preferance mate good luck :peace: Si

Welcome to AFN and the New Growers forum. I agree on the pot size, 3 gallon are sufficient for most dwarf auto strains. I would opt for the carbon filter. Ionizers are okay for small grows but I doubt it would effectively handle the odor from a tent that size. A good carbon filter will remove 100% of the odor and last a long time. I'm over on 2 years with mine and it's still working great.

A 600 watt HPS light in that size tent could raise the ambient temperature by 20 degrees or more without ventilation. Outside temps won't impact it unless you are drawing fresh air from outdoors. The temp in the room where the tent is will be what's important. You may want to exhaust into a different room, an attic, or outdoors, rather than be sucking that hot air back into your tent. A veg room really doesn't need an exhaust system, just internal air circulation. By the time your plants start to smell they should be in the tent for flowering. I run a separate veg area. It's right here in my office, next to my desk. I generally keep them here till the plants sex, about 3 - 3.5 weeks, then into the final pots and under my LEDs for flowering. I've never had any smell here in my office.

how man plants do you think i should grow in the tent for maximum yield, i only grow for personal consumption so the least often i have to the better.
can anyone suggest a good strain to use? also with canna coco what are the best nutes to use? is there much run off from watering i do not have a drain system and wondering if the extra water will raise the humidity.
thank for all for the help it is much appreciated

In 3 gallon pots you can fit about 9 plants in there. When you water you should give enough to get about 10% run off. I usually give mine about 3/4 to 1 gallon each. I just let it run out into the tray and by the next morning it all has evaporated. No real effect on the humidity. I've not grown in coco so can't make a recommendation on the nutes, although I do know there are some available specifically made for coco growing. As to a strain, I always recommend Mi5 to new growers. Easy to grow, yields well and has a nice balanced high/stone.
