good morning afn!
I thought i'd share my first grow experience with you just so i can get some advice and such on the way. (also just coz i'm super exited about the whole thing! :jump:)

Got 5 Mi5s from attitude, arrived next day was very impressed! and germinated 4 of them. all of them are now out of the ground and looking fairly healthy (although a little small..)

Growing in varying mixtures of biobizz allmix, john innes no 2, and perlite with added eggshell, epsom salt and fish blood & bone to see what performs best for next time :D

Got plant magic oldtimer grow & bloom and some bio bizz fish mix for nutes, after reading a bit though i dunno if there's much point using both..?

For now they're on my windowsill/greenhouse, which is a window box type thing, all walls painted white with reflective curtain behind the plants, i know this isn't recommended but it's only cheap single glazing so i figured it wouldn't cut out too much light. When its really sunny i stick them in the garden. When i can afford it/make the space, they will either go in a cab with a 250 CFL or go outside in a greenhouse, depends on space really.

So, is there anything really obvious I've already done wrong?? any input of advice? like will it stress them out too much putting them under 24 hr light after being just in the window? Anyone think they look a bit tiny for 4 days?

Will try keep this updated at least weekly with pics

Hey IggidyBiggidy I have some Mi5s growing too :D Don't worry about them being small, they'll grow faster day by day when they have their first set of true leaves. The soil seems very wet on the pictures, try to not overwater them, and let it dry well before you water again.
:peace:

Well to start of u have made a good choice with the mi5s very very good auto one of the best I'm growing 15 mi5s and the the mo there are at day 82 and very happy with them the soil dose look a bit wet how offen u been watering them and good test is to stick ur finger in the soil not near the plant but around it if it fells damp leave it but if feels dry water it :) because over watering at the stage could kill ur young plants every thing else seems ok for now good luck with ur grow bud happy growing

Gave the pots a good watering before i planted and have been giving a light misting every day since. Will give them a break for a couple days.

Also i found my tap water is coming out at around ph 7.3 so have been lowering it with balsamic vinegar, just what I've got to hand, is this a bad idea..?

Yeah i thought the mi5s lookd like best value for money, am startin to think i should have got something smaller though coz if they get to 3-4 foot im gona run out of space lol! Either of you runnin a journal on them? would like to see how other people gettin on with them!

You could get some lemon juice or white viniger as a ph adjuster to mate, bit less expensive than balsamic :D gourmet ph down :crying:

At this stage it might take a week or more before you need to water them again, don't get carried away and keep it wet, let it dry a bit. I use lemon juice for ph down :) It'd be a good idea to check your run-off water ph after a watering, to know where your soil stands.

https://www.autoflower.org/f5/mi5-sch-grow-journal-7037.html It's my first attempt with Mi5s too

gourmet ph down
:crying:

hahaa only the best for these plants! yeah i was thinking get some lemon juice instead though i did notice on the vinegar label it contains potassium so maybe its givin them some nutrition too!

Beal, am dropping the pH to 5.5 which is maybe a bit low but after using alkali water first I thought maybe I need to compensate a bit..?
And your grow is lookin awesome, hope mine turn out half as nice as that! that last bud pic looks gorgeous!

Sorry Eschastos posted as i was typin.your girls are also lookin realy healthy cant wait to see them get fat!

yeah after stickin my finger in em they feel pretty damp so will just leave it till they get dry.

so its now day 8/9 and theyr still only only just starting on 2nd set of proper leaves.. also looking pretty streched, lookin healthy apart from that. Not watered or misted or anything since last time i posted.

Anyone think they should they be lookin a bit more advanced by now..?
