This is my first grow, today the girls are 9 days old. My first mistake was keeping my lights 1000w LED too close as well as overwatering. I decided on a 24/0 light schedule. Ive corrected the light issue and watering frequency. My setup is a flood and drain. Temp is around 80F, RH is 55-60%. ph around 5.9. RO water with calmag and just a smidge of nutes, ppm around 285. I think my girls are trying to recover, I'm just looking for reaasurance or advice. I'm open to any suggestions.

I'm no veteran (growing for two years now) You've done all the right corrections dude

Could pull through at 9 days most are usually small, most of the magic happens underground for the first week or so...

Root development etc but with them being over watered the roots may have stayed stagnant with not having to seek out the golden h2o.

I personally would place a fan pointing at the pots to dry them out faster. Even if only 1 or 2 make it you should see enough flower to last to the next grow. [emoji106]

@Asher2019 Is this coco and perlite as a medium? Did you back the light cycle off?

Once she gets established over watering will not be an issue if this is just coco and perlite. I usually water every other day or so till flower then I am watering every day.

You should be fine. What nutes are you using how much cal mag is that 285 of your ppm?

And if you happen to be growing in soil, then let it dry well before watering.

Just to double check that you know when using ro water, you must add something in order to ph correctly.

Thanks for the responses, the medium is 65/35 coco/perlite, i would say cal/mag makes up 200 of the ppm, the other 100 or so is gh flora trio, around 30 ppm each, micro, grow and bloom, lights are at around 34" now, I figure I would let them grow into the light at this point and adjust accordingly, I used a little ph down to bring the mix from 6.8 to 5.9. I currently am filling once/day for about 10 min and then letting drain. I plan on changing the resevoir in a few days and then maybe bringing the ppm up to 400 for a week and see how they react, and go from there. I feel like a child that requires adult supervision for my first grow. I want so bad not to mess this up.

Everything looks better, and don't worry about overwatering, coco is like hydro, very difficult to overwater. But, watering too much early will slow root development, so it's more an issue of balance for the first couple weeks. Once the roots fill the bag, feed as many times a day as your wallet will allow.

Cal Mag is great but try to keep it at 20% ish of your ppm I do not know that it will hurt but it will be a waste. As above poster said once you get the roots established water till your hearts content. I had a few plants that were drinking a liter 3 times a day.

I usually run 250 PPMs after day 10 (20% being cal mag) then move up 100 ppms a week till i get to 800 then stop around there. I have done multi side by sides and after about 800 PPMs your not getting much for what you are putting in. Some people will swear by 1000 plus ppms though. Something you will have to work out on your own over time though

Too much water, autos hate saturation... led distance should be around 36 inches untill they are 6 inches tall

Also 5.9 ph will lockout most nutrients
