First Grow: How many autos?

Hey guys.

I'm about to start my first grow, my tent is a 1m x 1m x 2m (3.5x3.5x6.5).
My light is a 400w HPS but soon I will exchange for 315 CMH + 2 x TGL Star 60.

I would like to know how many autos to put in that space.

hello my growbro i run a 1.2x1.2x2.0 and i can grow 4 in there sometimes its gets a little packed depending on what strains you go for

I would say start one and if things are going well start a second in a couple weeks. That way you will find issues from first that won't effect second one as much. You'll also get a good idea of how many can fit at once.

I average 4.5-6sf. after training.

I routinely do 5 in a dwc setup about that size (I shoot for 6 but seems there's always one that doesn't sprout or ends up as a photo). I do a lot of training and scrog. Not sure if the light you're talking about will cover the 6.5 length or not. I use 2 400w hid lights and a Mars tsw2000 between them for the winter and 2 tsw2000 for the summer

Most new parents decide how many kids to have based on how many they can properly take care of.. Not based on how many they can fit in the baby room. Grow as many as you can properly take care of. If it's your first grow, start with one. Your first grow will not end with the bountiful harvest we all dreamed of when we started, lol. It wil be filled with issues, lot of questions, and growing pains. We should leave just as much room open for that, as we do for the plants.
