New Grower First Grow Ever...Lowryder 2

Been a while

Really wanted to post this week but life kept getting in the way. OK where was I?

I guess it was last weekend when I just planted the seeds into the pellets. I put them in darkness over night and they started to sprout a bit. By the second day they were coming out. On the third day I put them outside in the warm and bright Florida sun and they seemed to like it.

On the fourth day the larger sprout had a root creeping through the bottom so I transplanted them into the autopots. I soaked the autopots first in water with canna start and rhizotonic (abot 1 tblsp per gallon of each). The next day before lights out I added water that included half strength canna a + b.

Today I hooked up the resevoir tank to the autopots and added nutes to the water at 3/4 strength. Here is what things look like today 6 or 7 days since germination. (Sort of lost track).

The light I am using is from Hydroponics hut. It is a pro-grow 260. It draws 180 watts so I think this should be plenty for my space.

Looking at the pics they look pretty much in the ball park at this point compared to others. What say you guys?

More info

I looked back in retrospect I realized I left out some details.

For growing media I am using Coco Coir and perlite. About 70% Coco 30% perlite.

As you may have gathered I am using autopots, Each bucket is about 3 gallons. I really like the automatic watering feature. The media never seems to completely dry out, just stays damp.

I picked Canna nutes. Since this is my first grow I really got diverse opinions but they seemed as good as any and were available from where I ordered a bunch of stuff so it just made things simpler. And they had a nice grow guide for your use

Since I hooked up the reservoir today there doesn't seem much else to do except adjust nutes, monitor temp and ph. If anybody has thought s on how far the lights should be from the plants I'd appreciate it.

Keep your lights anywhere from 18-24 inches away for vegging. Good luck.

Day 15 update Lowryder 2

Ok, it has been 8 days since I last posted. Plenty of good growth. The one plant is a little smaller than the other and has been since the get go.

There is a bit if a problem. I noticed this mark on the bigger plant. It looks like nute burn to me. Just to be on the safe side I flushed the pots and dilluted the nutes in the reservoir by half. A couple of days ago I increased the nute to 3/4 strength. I guess that was too much too soon.

Thezeker, Your plants look nice and on track for their age. I am not familiar with the auto pots but they seem interesting. I like your setup, I am growing with a LED so I like to check out other grows doing the same. You can check out my current grow under a 240 blackstar here https://www.autoflower.org/f44/bikinis-auto-berry-ryder-big-bang-grow-8115.html I am not positive and nobody else said anything but it sounds like you are giving a lot of nutes, I use a different line so I am not sure what your feeding schedule is, but it sounds like you are giving them a lot for their age. Hopefully Muddy or someone with a little more experience can come by and help you out with it. Good luck with your grow.

Lookin good thezeker. That little spot looks more like a splash burn. Sometimes just a little droplet of water can do that if the light is too close. It's nothing to stress about. Keep up the good work!

Hey Thezeker,

Love your setup. Wishing you all the best mate.

Oldboy.
