I was researching that cutting the trunk in half day before the harvest shocks the plant into thinking a deer or some animal is eating it and it’s going to die in the next few days . This triggers increase resin production similar to dark period so combination of those two is what he claims produces the best resin

Well I suppose it could be, it seems like I remember that Columbian gold is usually they usually strip off the outer layer of the branch right at the end before Harvest. That's supposedly what gives it the gold color.

That’s cool yeah that’s another thing my strain supposed to turn purple but not even a hint of purple yet probably due to high temps all the time ... so
Hopefully it will bring some purple out

If you have someplace cold in your house put that plant there the last two or three days that'll bring out the purple color.

Will that happen overnight ? Because I have animals in the place and they can’t be cold for too long

No it usually doesn't happen overnight if you have a really cold place it could you know something around 50 degrees or so.

Most of the time if you stop feeding the plant will put all available nutrients from the leave to finish up its cycle. That is common but that looks crazy

Thank you ! Yeah I am noticing it frosting up pretty good ... it’s hard to say if trichomes are white or clear but they looking better next week chop , I will probably do it based on my work schedule since it’s a busy week for me
