I have a DP Blueberry plant at 14 days old (since coming out of the soil.)
I am using soil and 180w UFO LED's
I have some fertilizer nutrients but I have not used them yet.
Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect GMB, B-52, Voodoo Juice, Big Bud and Overdrive.

It's looking pretty small for its age I think, maybe I should start feeding it.
Anyone have any experience with those fertilizers that can advise me on what strength to use?

I have 2 other Blueberry seeds that seem to have gone bad when they sprouted.
The starter leafs seemed to start off with black spots and yellowish/white spots and feel hard and the stems are dark purple, like some sort of infection. They seem not to be growing at all. Not sure what the problem is. Thought it was the soil but I tried 5 bag seeds in the same soil and they worked fine.

Maybe over watering the seedlings?
Bad tap water for germination?

I have 1 seed left to try and hatch properly tomorrow, Purple Haze Auto.

yes your problems may have been over watering. As to your blueberry plants, they look healthy enough. From the very short internode spacing I'd say your lights are too close, that may be suppressing growth also. Raise them about 6-10 inches and see what happens. Never used those nutes, aren't they for hydro? What soil are you using? It may have been too hot for your DP seedlings. Also, some cheap store bought soils are infected with fungus nats and other diseases, so keep watch for bugs, etc.

Use the Voodoo Juice for sure! It beneficial microbes and may just kick start your plants! :pass:

There's a lot of knowledge in these forums for Advanced Nutrients line. Look for Tangs feeding schedule, the link is harder to find because a lot of the links in the forum were broken when they switched platforms.

But I did find a modified version of an Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule by Elvis over here.

Good luck on your grow man!

Yes I think the nutrients are for hydro. A friend gave them to me and I lost contact with him so I'm not sure if they will work with soil.

The lights are about 10 inches from the plant so I will try raising it.

Thanks

Hi Supplanter:)

Nice start there bro, I'm gonna agree with pop here and say raise your lights a little, LED are great for keeping you plants short & compact but some time you want a little bit more height.

Plants can stay pretty short under LED but once flowering starts in approx 7 days there will be a period of stretch.

I'm wondering do you ph your water?

Day 14 definitely time to start feeding, try starting with half strength Grow or follow data sheet for seedlings and ph it.

It is awesome you jumped straight in with a grow journal :) it would be great if you came and introduced yourself, so we can welcome you properly and you can get to know our amazing members.

Into's thread link https://www.autoflower.org/index.php?forums/introductions.35/

I know your gonna love it here and there will be help near by should you need a hand :)

Happy growing & keep it green

Hi arty,
Thanks.
I don't pH the water as I don't have test strips as yet and I don't have pH down.

I will try some half strength Grow today. I noticed the Grow is 1-0-4 the Micro is 2-0-0 and Bloom is 1-3-4
I always thought seedlings needed more N.

Hey I use the gmb and starting at day 14 is fine if your soil doesn't have anything too hot for starting..... you can look at the feeding schedule on AN website. They say hydro but you can also use them on soil rather effextively.... I would start them at 1/2 strength or even 1/4 if you want to be super safe... and even though it says grow micro and bloom AN recommends using them at a 1/1/1 ratio throughout the plants lifecylce

And they do need more n during veg and when used like recommended the total nutes value of the gmb Is 4/4/8. And you need to purchase a ph meter cheap but no big worries when using the AN ph perfect unless your tap is total shit. Even at half strength my ph is @6.2 when using the AN line

Just had a look at you Advanced Nutrients GMB.

Well that was interesting, they say GMB will take care of your PH for you with they're GMB nutrients and claim it self buffers in any water in the normal range from your tap.

The three elements all get added at the same measurement dose and in the veg stage of growth & you add the B52 and voodoo juice.

Sounds pretty simple just follow the instructions on the bottle or go to the Advanced Nutrients Website and use the the nutrient calculator.

If you add the NPK of the three separate bottles you get a NPK of 4-3-8.

I'm not sure what is in the B52 or the Voodoo juice but you add these in the veg stage which will further alter the NPK, plus they add micronutrients and vitamins in to the mix.

With there being so many nutrients on the market it is hard to to keep up, this nutrient range seem to have taken a lot of the guessing out of the equation.

They say no need for ph pens not often you hear that lol I would still find my self having one just in case lol.
Having a soil PH probe would be a good idea in my eyes just to check the soil PH.

Once your grow has finished, maybe I will be a true believer (which is to say, I don't doubt it's claims but there is always a little voice in my head telling me to check PH), sometimes it is difficult for an old dog to learn new tricks.

However I have seen so many new innovative products, methods & techniques brought to the fore in my time as a grower that almost anything is possible.

Arty I used the gmb on my last 3 and bought the pen as well.... it does just as they claim. Even though they recommend RO water I used the tap from city water and always come out to 6.2

Pretty impressive and Def helps take the guess work of nutes out. But as you stated knowing soil ph is a big deal sometimes as well
