Hi guys and gals, i'm in need of lots of advice on starting my grow.
This will be my first grow and probably my only grow dew to the fact iv'e been pestering my step dad for permission to do one and ive got it on the basis of it being two plants and only one grow.
This means i'm obviously looking to get it rite first time and get the biggest yield possible from my space and budget.
I'm still not 100% sure on my setup though so id like to run my shopping list passed you guys to double check its all good to go.

My grow space will be 65(L)x42d(D)x75(H) cm (http://i46.tinypic.com/2aafsiu.jpg)
It will be fully lined with diamond mylar
I've made my own ghetto style carbon filter and fan box and ill have a passive intake but with a pc fan over it on a fan thermostat so if it gets too hot it should help with cooling but only when needed.
I'm planing on using air pots but still not sure on what size, was thinking around 8lt
For soil im looking at the plagron bat mix but im not sure if this is too hot to use from seed and also what the ph balance is like.
Ill obviously be checking my ph's regularly with one of the cheap ph testing pens and the old school paper tab ph testing kits incase the pens not all that.
For lighting i'm probably going to opt for CFL because of a lack of space and i cant afford decent led lights.
As for how many cfls im really not sure, i don't feel i have the space to run large bulbs (150-200w) so i'm thinking maybe around 10 say 20-30w bulbs so i can spread them out for better light penetration and to make the most of my space. I am also considering supplementing the cfl lighting with a small hps bulb (50-100w) during flowering but i'm not sure if this will cause light stress adding it later in the grow and whether the heat from that will be overwhelming in such a confined space without a cool/air tube. Also not sure whether the power use from the hps would be viable given its only going to be a small bulb used on top of the cfls.

Im sure there's plenty iv'e forgotten so prepair for more questions lol

Thanks for any help, Carbon

*EDIT* Still not 100% on the strain but im thinking Delicious Northern Light Blue Autoflowering

150 watt hps would help during flower but it's not nessesary

Hey goauto6, Thanks for the reply! How do you find growing in a smaller space? i think my only real issue will be height.
Do you run only cfl or is that a small hps i see? also what strains are they and what kinda yields are you getting with your setup?

Thanks

the differanc in mine is i do have almost 5 feet in heigth...that is a 150 watt hps......and I'v been playing arond with dragon's alot...... my average yeilds are 1oz...but the more i grow the same strain, the more I get to know what they like...

here's a couple of pic's of a couple grows,

Cream Carmel she did me good

purple jem's there a shorte breed

you can take a look at the grows here

Thanks man some really healthy looking plants there, look like nice tight buds too!!
From what i have read it seems the cfls alone can give kinda airy buds which obviously isn't what im after in a perfect world hence the hps idea.

Im actually reading about people using small hps flood lights to supplement there cfls grows which to me doesn't sound like a bad idea as its a 70w hps with a case and reflector and no need for ballast for around £25 (http://www.scldirect.co.uk/70w-high-pressue-sodium.html)

Has anyone tried these?

Hmm i may just stick to cfl and avoid the heat issues then. For my two plants i'm looking at using 5x 30w green lamp bulbs (6400k -10,000 lumens) for veg and 5x 30w plus 1x 45w green lamp bulbs (2700k-13,000 lumens) for flowering.

Do you think this will give the results im looking for? do you remember what you ran when only using cfl?

6 - 65 watt 2700......home depote has them around my part's. They say 300watt but that's the equvelante watts....

How many plants did you have under that dude
