New Grower First ever Indoor/Auto grow Journal -> Lots of questions, please advise! AmnesiaXXL / SuperSkunk

Hey Inf3cted, glad the ladies are recovering. Don't be offended if you already know, but you can foliar spray the ladies in between watering with the CalMag.

That's a great point. I will foliar spray my hibiscus with a dilute fish fertilizer solution at various time through a season, but hadn't really thought about it with the CaMg. I had seen some guys talking about foliar spraying with epsom salt so I should have made the leap intuitively.

Inf3cted, since I am also in week 7 with my standard Amnesia Auto I threw a pic in here for you to compare to. Your structure looks good just not as bushy or full. What is your height now on #1. Short of an extremely light case of nute burn on the tips she has done well with everything I have thrown at her.

I'm hoping that you can bring em back in line and have a good outcome in the end.

Thanks fellow Amnesia grower!

I looked at your thread last week and said the same thing - that your ladies and considerable size over mine. Possibly a combination of feeding and the LEDS that have given you the boost!

#1 was 22" last I checked and your was already 24" a week ago so im guessing there was a little stretch.

Overall of these buds swell I will be more than happy!

Thanks!
I fed kelp via foliar through vegging. However foliar during flowering I don't know if it's a good idea as developing buds may get moldy?

I would love to foliar with calmag -only thing I use organics and natural sources of nutes, haven't discovered the ideal thing for calmag yet. Molasses was a start... I've got liquid dolomite as well to help with the uptake of cal mag.

Oh you made it sound real bad.. they not bad lookin at all. Hope you get straightened out. I got one of these goin. Hope she yield good for you. Peace

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Inf3cted. My amnesia #1 made it to 26.5" before stalling. Amnesia #2 is at 13.5" as of this morning, and is chronologically 11 days behind #1. So I expect it to almost double in height before it finishes. In my own update late last night I do highlight a yellowing that is beginning on some of the larger fan leaves at the bottom of #1 with 1 larger fan leaf further up the plant also exhibiting this symptom. It is visible on the pics I posted here as well. I initially attributed this to age and the plant beginning to use up those leaves. I still do this morning, but as time allows today I will also go through some of the troubleshooting charts this morning to verify and be ready if it progresses more drastically across the plant. This is all just part of letting our plants tell us where they are in development or what they are in need of. We must train ourselves to be diligent and attentive to the plants needs and signals. That attentiveness is the difference between the good growers and the great growers. It can only be learned by trial and error and constant attention to our plants. Good luck brother, and remember, if this setback teaches you something that you didn't know yesterday, but will use tomorrow, Then you have succeeded.

Love the approach! This is all about learning and paying attention...... And *drumroll* ...... Patience !

Interesting you talk about aging- this may very well be the case and instead of going the 90 days to harvest my girls may just get done quicker!! I was only feeding veg ratios for ferts though hoping to delay flowering as far as possible.

The good news is that I've gone from zero resin to visible trichomes now spreading across. This means whatever she is using all the stores resources for the right reasons!

The lesson learned for me is not to let pH slide and its a tad late to hope for any substantial benefits but I still flushed with pH water and hope for the best. They got a shot of flowering nutes as well yesterday. I could have sworn I saw the tips change colour as if they were getting burnt almost instantly !!!!!

The 24 hr thread disappeared for me- did I get banned for posting too often in one day?

Ended up panicking and posting in the hospital / sick plants infirmary : https://www.autoflower.org/f90/help-yellowing-spreading-laterally-week-7-indoor-soil-41035-2.html

Since my last update in the journal, situation has not improved too much. More yellowing and spread upwards. Buds still resining up though. Below is the spread now on Amnesia #1

I began to suspect lockout not due to high pH (as the probe was just stuck at 8). Runoff tests today confirm a massive drop in pH (in pH7 and out was 6.1 and 5.6 for the two different pots).

Flushed using RO water but I only had 20 litres for these pots (they are 12 litre pots), hope that's done the trick. I had to lug all that water on foot from the supermarket as I got no car :-/

Here's some pictures....

What up brothers!!!! Lockout persisted a bit more but the flush kept it in check and we are now almost at harvest.

Loving this Auto experience. Week 10 and things are fruity and sticky. These Dinafem are no where near their potential in my noob hands but where these girl lack in quantity they makeup in finished product. Given I used organics and natural there will definitely be some rewards after curing the bus 6-8 weeks in terms of flavour and aroma.

Almost Day 90 and thought it would be time to harvest it they are still putting out some white pistils. Slight ambering of the trichome heads but not even close to 25%

Surprised with more white pistil appearing.... I thought autos would shut down regardless of light. Maybe I should increase the darkness a lot more ?

very sticky too

Sorry I never closed up this grow.... harvest went fine and I let a majority of it cure slowly for ages. I've only recently handed it over (about 14-16 months later) to a dear friend to enjoy while I travel. Will add some finished pics soon
