Btw- does anybody know if using the steel cage is a bad idea? I asked almighty google-she/he/it said when steel rusts, it releases iron which tomatoes need in abundance. I'm using a complete formula for cannabis, I don't know if I necessarily want extra iron....what do you guys think? I just wanted to stay ahead of the curve on plant management I know it's gonna need staking in the loose perlite so I thought it a good idea to let her grow up through it

It could result in electrolysis which could cause some wired pH issues but that's a guess

I tend to avoid metals in my hydro water

Thanks for the invite @D3ltå9Hævy , looking good so far. I have never seen/heard any negative effects from tomato cages, but I really don't know. I am planning a mega crop coco hempy grow next, so I'll enjoy your progress and probably learn a little something. Is that a 5 gallon bucket?

Ok I'll figure something out. I slid the cage up so it's up past the res, and I'm thinking about wrapping the bottom of the stakes with nylon electric tape to waterproof them

I'm running her in a 5.1L pale next to a sour alien livers in a 5 gal pot in a 3x3. Also have a four assed monkey just sprouted as well. She's a small plant and I wanted a quick finisher

Sorry for lack of even update yet life's been crazy. Opening up a new work location and such. Anyway she's 2 weeks old today has had a couple problems but have made the necessary changes so hopefully she kicks it into gear. A little on the small side but not too shabby for my first hempy go. Obviously from pics you can spot cal mag deficiency already and low feed strength. Still getting used to the megacrop. My veg strength atm is 2g/g cal mag pro 4g/g megacrop comes out to about 900 ppm on my Meter(water is 80ppm-so 820 after water) keep in mind this is not the npk total. I'd have to use the websites ppm calculator and add in my cal mag as there is additives involved in the base nutes. It's somewhere around 500ppm total nutes or a bit more. She's getting recharge once per week as well.
As far as the other issue mentioned-pretty sure i was underwatering@every other day to every third day. Am now wetting the perlite everyday with feed solution, and the Rez is full.peat Cup gets fed every other day.

Things chugging along well! Things I've learned so far-you can't overwater a perlite hempy, easy to underwater it! She's drinking 1L a day atm on day 19. Easy to overfeed in a hempy. Have been diluting the standard mix the other soil sisters get. Other than that she's got a cool hair did going onsome rad ass blonde streaks on a fan.
